When I use the silicone ones, yes. Just make sure they aren't close to the heating elements.

carefully? Someone recommended placing the mug upside down in the center on the tray. It does seem to work well that way.
  5. What do you use to arch/radius/warp or what ever the image to match up the curve? Vectoring a photo makes it suck, unless I'm missing something. Is there something EASY in Corel, paint.net, Inkscape or one of those? I'd like to stay with either the jpeg or png file if I can, but just wanted to see what everyone else used before I smash another keyboard against the wall. Oh yeah. Is it just me or has Google become garbage for finding anything anymore?

    Looking to get into Sublimation..

I always double check on each printing. It's a pain in the rear, but since I've gotten in the habit, I know that the quality, paper size and all that are correct. Especially when I use the smaller cup size paper and forget to change it from letter size to the cup size.

    cracked cups

How often do you end up with cracked cups? Grabbed a cup/mug from the box I got in my order and one of them was cracked, so I got to wondering how often you receive cracked ones in your orders. Is this common?

    cracked cups

Well, I pushed that case off to the side, got another 12 from another vendor and used those up and went back to the original case. More cracked and one busted. I should have checked them all when I got them. I know I should give them another chance and try and work with them, but they were more concerned with who my rep was than the fact that there was a problem with them and I wasn't asking them to replace them, just saying that they need to work on their quality control. I'll order from another place from now on.

I agree with what you are saying and I'll give the silicone ones a try, but it's one of those things where if you feel comfortable with it and it's cheaper and works for you, there is nothing wrong with that. For me, I'm one of those types of people that the cactus wrap is pretty "fool proof" and I'm sometimes a fool. LOL! So the extra money for them was worth it.

I like the Cactus wrap/DyeWrap. Conde sells them, but their shipping costs are a little high. Bought one of the silicone wrap ones and either I didn't use it right or it didn't seem to work as well as the Cactus wrap one. I have the mug wrap and shot glass wrap, going to get the stein one and water bottle one as soon as I get to a point where I quit buying blanks. In other words, it will be a bit. LOL!

Low tac vinyl for auto body applications

Interesting that folks are recommending Oracal. I only use Oramask 810 or 813 for my airbrush work. I have used FDC mask vinyl for acrylic or urethane, as I sometimes will force dry it and it holds well to the heat. For the most part, I'm using waterbased (AutoAir) airbrush paint and acrylic or urethane for striping and larger stuff.

    Sublimation on darker colors

ROFL! I'd make him a pink t-shirt with purple lettering and tell him that's all I got. LOL!

The bad thing is, there have been some cigars I've smoked that I felt like that's what I was doing. ROFL!

    Sublimation on darker colors

The trouble is, most folks don't understand the limitations with certain things. If a person was able to have a sample of sublimation and regular print ink and HTV, they could show a prospective customer the difference and what can be done. Until recently, I didn't know the differences between the HTV and assumed that HTV meant the thick bulky vinyl that used to be on shirts. It's clear that they've come a long way with HTV. I saw one the other day that had a felt feel to it. Who knew?

Do you have a website for your business?

Dreamweaver is great to use to create your site. But ads will destroy your traffic, even though a lot of people think it helps. Especially if they have a poor reputation. Just my opinion.

    Ford Guys.. Here You Go..

Well, as someone who makes their living working on trucks and heavy equipment, I have to say that GM, Ford and Chrysler are all about even on the recalls. So it all boils down to personal preference. Each one has it's faults. And I'm kind of amazed that a person's first post was to trash Ford.

    Can't believe I can't find this font.

I'd have never expected I'd need a font ID'd, but here I am. I've tried everything I can think of to find this font. I've come close, but the 4 seems to be different on everything I can find. I just can't seem to find the font that matches it. Typewriter is close on all of the letters, but it seems that the 4 is always just off or if I do find one that the 4 is close, the 7 or W or G are different. No serifs on the letters and the X lines cross, not meet like a K, if that makes any sense. Tried getting more samples, but the original is so badly damaged. I'm trying to reconstruct an old paper for a friend to make a plaque. Any ideas? Found something close, the FF DIN font, but the 7 is a little off.

Looking for a stencil cutting machine

As an airbrush painter, I have a 28" cutter and while I rarely go beyond 24", it's nice to have the width for doing multiple mask stencils at one time. Years back, I had a 12" cutter and it was a challenge on some stencils, because they would end up 12 1/2" and I'd have to try and make them fit properly. Which is why I ended up with a 28". Even doing the top of a motorcycle tank may push that 12" limit, depending on the tank. Edit: I forgot to mention, if you are going to use the SC, a good exacto knife will be your friend.

    Can't believe I can't find this font.

That might be best. The other thought is to match up the font the best I can and change the letters and numbers that aren't the same to match what I'm trying to do. If it were up to me, I'd just re-do the entire thing, but for some folks, the little details are what's important. Especially when it comes to something from a grand parent or great-grand parent. It's easy to say, "Just take a picture of it." But when it's so badly damaged, it's not an option. Granted, I can age the image when I go to press it onto a plaque, but it needs to be readable. Plus I have to overlay the document onto an old picture, which will make it that much more difficult. Thank goodness for sublimation, cause if I had to airbrush this, it would take weeks.
