  1. Just done some testing and the square just wont work. The text is actually perfect, but the border is bad. Wont line up, and is thicker one end etc. Defo and alignment issue or the vinyl moving etc. But the grippers hold it in place nice and tight. Not using vinyl on a roll so no odd tension etc. Attached is the design for reference
  2. Interesting idea. No option to change offset / overcut on the cutter. Only on signcut. Anyone have a pcut and use with signcut can tell me their values for these?
  3. Had nothing but issues with my cto since I had it. Used it for a while then got fed up so stopped using it. Now want to start again but still no luck. Initially I had to tighten the blade holder as it was loose, but now 1 in every 3 (ish) cuts will stops before finishing and just be left on 'working laser'. I am trying to cut a large square border around a quote. Attached are images of the cuts. This happens everytime. I am using signcut pro and a macbook running snow leopard. I have installed the correct drivers and had no issues with my old Liyu. I do have a windows laptop i am going to tryout, but this is frustrating and wasting vinyl. So far I have found to check the blade length and also make sure the vinyl is not bunching up. Anything else?
  4. This has sorted everything! http://startup.ukcutter.co.uk/English/cto/usbdriversetupcto.html
  5. It would appear that the offset is not being sent to my cutter. No matter how much I change it, it doesnt change the cuts. Not even at 100! No option for offset on the cutter neither. Any ideas? On a mac, cto630 and signcut productivity pro.
  6. Having some issues with a new cutter. Purchased brand new, its a Creation CTO630. I am using Illustrator and signcut. Initially, the blade was loose so I had to tighten the two bolts. I cannot seem to get it to cut good enough quality however. I had a Liyu before which was perfect out of the box, I thought getting a creation would have been a better choice but not so much. Some pictures of the cuts are attached. Its not as clear in the pictures, but the corners are slightly rounded, and the U's have small notches cut from the bottom. Im pretty sure my Liyu was cutting corners perfectly square even with lettering at less than 1cm in height. The example cut in the pictures above is with lettering around 10cm! Oddly, when using a pen instead of a blade the corners seem pretty much okay. My offset is 0, and the overcut 0.2. I did higher the offset in 0.5 increments but it made the corners / cut worse. Any suggestions?
