Well I just got off the phone w/ US Cutter support and let me say, they are a pleasure to deal with! The CS representative I dealt with said that they have been having their technician go through Windows 10 and the Titan vinyl cutters and they have found NO compatibility issues. We determined that my circuit board that connects the USB cord to the vinyl cutter went bad, they are shipping me a new one free of charge overnight shipping. I will try to update here as to how it goes. Thanks for everyone chiming in!

I reverted back to Windows 8 that I was using before w/ the Titan 2 no problem... having the same issues I'll try rebooting but it is saying right now the same dll file is missing

So I just recently had a free upgrade to windows 10 so I took it. All of the programs still stayed on my computer and so did all the files. I went to use my 15" 420I Titan 2 vinyl cutter, and it worked great for about 5 minutes (I was doing a test run to make sure sizing was fine on the design I was doing). After it got done though it did something it never had - the rollers kept rolling and rolled my vinyl out of the cutter and I noticed that it had made a cut in the vinyl the entire length of the sheet (like the knife never picked up when it should have). I had to hit the 'reset' button to get it to stop rolling. Ever since this I am now getting a 'USB devise not recognized' error when I plug it into my computer. Yes I have tried rebooting both my computer and vinyl cutter and it's not working still. So then I went to try and reinstall the drivers and SCALP 3, after I deleted and tried to reinstall I am getting an error that won't allow me to install the drivers "Titan420i.dll was not found" error. Any ideas? I need to get this running and can't find anything when I search...

Hey guys! Back again =) So I'm running into a couple problems... I'm on windows 8 too btw. After I install the .exe plug in for AI and reboot the program/my computer, it does not show up under the "scripts". So I can navigate to where the plug in was installed and then it does move the picture over to SCALP but when I try to cut it I get the error "There are no shapes to cut". Any ideas or help? Thanks!

Wondering if anyone has any recommendations for stencil film/paint mask that is high tac that would work for small fonts (1/4" or so). So far I have tried Vmask and Gerber Mask II. The GM II works better than the vmask but on things like O's that have a center piece in them, it is very difficult when weeding. I can actually weed it alright, but the issue comes in on what I am using the film for. I am using it to acid etch metal, and I can't have any etchant (which is very mild) leak up under the stencil film, so it needs to stick really well.

I guess I am confused... where do I get this plug in from? and how do I send the file from AI to SCALP to print? Do I just save it in a format SCALP will recognize, then open it with SCALP and print that way? that's weird that you can't view the file I posted... I would love your thoughts on this... can you click on the link again then hit the down arrow (download button) at the top? it's an eps file and I would like for you to look at it. Otherwise I will find a way to post it (I couldn't figure out how to put attachments in this thread)

lol isn't that the truth (about price). ahhh so AI will talk with my cutter directly? that is sweet! does anyone have any references or instructions for how to do this?

Thanks Wildgoose... so AI won't work with my titan 2 directly, I need a plug in to send it to SCALP to get it to work? "SCALP has cut by color so you can leave all your color layers in there and just cut the one you want as long as it's built correctly. " How do I go about doing this in SCALP?

Hey everyone! I got my Titan 2 in the other day. I will be using it to cut stencils out of vinyl for air brushing/hvlp paint graphics onto firearms and knives. One of the issues I ran into is that I have a few .eps files that SCALP will not let me trace, so I got AI and want to figure out how to use it with my cutter. The issue is that I want to take a file like this and pull out one shade of gray and be able to cut the that out on my vinyl for my stencil work. How do I go about doing this and how do I send the file to my Titan 2 to get actually cut? Thanks. I will be posting more questions here probably as I go along lol.

Monkey, that's an interesting point you made. I have Adobe Illustrator... i think I will post in that area to figure out how to do this with AI so I don't have to buy another $500 program! Where did you get the plug in? do they make one for AI? Thanks for the input guys.

On the site here it says one of the features is: "Import various file formats, including SVG, PDF, EPS, AI, WPC" So why won't it let me trace an .eps file? I did a little bit of reading... looks like I will have to convert the eps file in inkscape to svg or something... any suggestions?
