  1. I used this tutorial and a bit of trial and error. I found out you don't need the "cross hairs" when you tape your wall, just the boxes, but other than that, the tutorial was pretty good. I used inkscape and SCALP to make the decal. I also found out when I put the decal on the wall that my walls aren't exactly square, hence the minor gaps... it helps to have a design that tolerates a bit of gap, or just use two walls instead of 3...

    Just trying to maximize the space that I've got. I'll be switching this 10 yard rack to another 50 yard rack... going through too much vinyl to make 10 yard rolls worth it anymore. Always a good thing! 


  3. It can help with weeding the really detailed projects, but I built it with the thought of creating layered decals. This way can flip the light on and see how the layers are lining up to each other. I don't use it often, and most of the time the table has a cutting mat covering most of the top, but there have already been a few times when it's come in handy. I've got plenty of light above the table as well. =)
