    Help With Laying Down

I would try making another thread, (looks like a forum issue)...
  4. I have been stocking Red, Blue, Black and White in S-2XL, because of Jiffys latest price drop. Small, medium and large I carry 10 of each in all colors. XL and 2XL Red, Blue and White 10 of each. Black XL's - 20. Black 3XL's 5. I am low production, majority of my sales are black shirts. If you order a lot of shirts the each price for the 50/50 gildan should drop to around $2.30 a shirt which is why I stocked up. I don't stock women only shirts and have only had 2 request for them which was a no rush order, so I placed it with my next jiffy order.

For you etching guys need some input

Like OW said removed as much as possible. Ladies I work with all do arts and craft stuff, one day they had a seminar about etching glass so I stopped by. Instructor talked about heating the glass up first with a heat gun to get the vinyl to conform better. Worked for her I haven't tried that method yet.

New to heat presses. Please help.

I bought a cheap 15x15 swing away china one off eBay in February, checked it against a temp gun and it was dead on surprisingly. Paid $250 shipped for it, I've done 345 shirts since buying it, needless to say it's paid for itself. What I don't like about it, swinging it back and forth works works the height adjuster down which increases the pressure. its has to be reset every 10 shirts or so. Build quality isn't the greatest. Watching a video of another member use his Fusion and how smoothly his machine pivots back and forth was shocking. When doing 2XL and 3XL shirts I wish I had the 16x20 pallet size just for convenience sake. For reference widest design I have is 13", longest is 14". I use searchtempest daily looking for a fusion or Geo Knight.

ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR AND CUTTING MASTER 3 HELP

Have you tried it on multiple files/artwork? What is your page paper size set to CM3?
  11. Typically I order shirts through my works Alphabroder account but I noticed Jiffyshirt had all their gildan 50/50 shirts for $2.61, which is only a few cents more than what I typically pay after shipping and tax through Alphabroder. Then I noticed the 2XL's and highers were also $2.61 and proceeded to buy 120+ shirts bringing the color 50/50 Gildans down to 2.30 each. Just a heads up to those guys like me that don't have a business license to get wholesale pricing on their shirts.

    Jiffyshirt Gildan 50/50 Price

No issues here with the 50/50 blend.
  13. When my titan 2 started doing similar weird things I tried all kinds of fixes. I grounded it to my house, made my own "anti static kit" nothing helped. Customer support said on the titans static isn't an issue. My belt tensioner ended up being broke, was sent a new machine but was displeased with the titan and sent the new one back and upgrading to a Graphtech. Your issues mimic what I was seeing as well that helped me justify a graphtech.

Looking to get a new cutter

As a former Titan 2 owner, get the Graphtech, I did and the only regret I have is I didn't start with the Graphtech.

Anyone wanna make a few t-shirts?

Would you mind uploading a .eps or .ai of the file so I can take a better look and size the graphic better? Quantities and sizes?
  19. When I searched this a while back people were putting a packing peanut in the envelope/mailer to get the 3/4" thickness required for tracking, without adding too much weight. For decals larger than 5x5 I use 9.75x12.75 rigid photo mailers, never a complaint. Anything larger and I would start loosely rolling them in a box or tube.
  20. I have a BS in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics. I work as a Mechanical Design Engineer using my degree every day, do I do complicated math and physics everyday, no... Do I use anything I learned every day yes, without my degree I would not have this job. My degree paid for itself 4 months after I was done, BUT I went to local college for 2 years (really cheap!) then transferred to a university to finish (an inexpensive one too). In my opinion you're wasting your money going to a large university to get a business degree. What I saw was a business degree is what people get that have no idea what they want to do and just want to go to college for the "experience", or couldn't pass Calculus 2. My college experience was late nights studying for test, doing homework and projects. For me there were no parties, no wild alcohol induced orgies, nothing like you see in movies or TV. I never lived in a dorm while going to school, dont think you have too, plenty of people rent houses with other students, that could give you the option to have your cutter and materials in a larger space. My experience is not the norm even for Engineers. I worked hard while going to school, worked 40 hours a week while at the local college and 20-40 hours a week while at the university, for companies doing work in my field of study. I had more real work experience before graduating than my peers and had a full time job before graduation because of my work experience. Can you make a good living selling crafts and decals, sure! I made decent side money myself doing it. But I have a great 401k, medical benefits, vacation and most importantly, job security! Not saying I'm impervious, but I don't have to depend on peoples fun money to support my family. Best of luck.

    Stamps.com

Anyone use stamps.com to pay for their postage? I started a "Free Trial" and got their $10 scale, it has been incredibly convenient to put my envelopes through my printer and print the postage directly to it.
