  1. @dako Prints on Chrome?!?! Prints color on Chrome?! As in, we could have a bunch of pre-made chrome emblems and then just print the logo/QR code on each one? Thanks! C
  2. @dakota: what does the gerber edge do? I see it's a thermal printer. What does it print on? Looks full color? Is it weatherproof? (Remember I'm a newbie... Need a little hand holding) Thanks!!
  3. These will be small too. Smaller than a bumper sticker. Fyi. Thanks again for your feedback. I really appreciate it.
  4. I hear ya on the qr code. There could Be a human readable version as well but too much text starts to ruin the aesthetic.
  5. @dakota: Actually the $15 is for more than just the decal, but if you are talking in quantity then we are not talking about the same thing. I'm not talking about running 500 of the same code. I'm talking every code will be different. So would you charge .50 for one item?
  6. Well here is the deal. I want to create these to sell to our site members to put on their vehicles. So, again, it has to look pro, BUT I plan on selling them (another reason they need to look PRO). Can't look homemade and needs to be something an auto enthusiast would want to be on their vehicle. I have a total budget of around $3,000-$5,000 to purchase a machine/device/cutter to create these things. Again, it would be ideal to start with the vinyl decals I suppose, but at the same time, some type of an emblem would step things up a bit. I even wonder if we could 3D print an emblem. I was thinking of charging maybe $10-$15 for the vinyl decal and anywhere from $15-$50 for the emblem depending on the quality and production process. But again, I am a TOTAL newbie at this, so I could totally be talking out my butt (which is why I am here to learn under all of your wisdom.) Oh, another option COULD be a combo, where we mass produce an emblem and then maybe use a vinyl decal to overlay the QR code. i.e the emblem might be a matte black, but the QR code decal could be a white overlay... Just trying to think out of the box. So, anything I could do with that budget? Thanks! Craig
  7. Hi everyone! First of all thanks in advance for any advice given. I appreciate your time and effort. I am wanting to create a cool decal for my clients they can put on their vehicles with a QR Code on them. Each QR Code would be different based on the client as a member of our car club. I am going to sell these to them, so I want them to be nice and look professional and not cheesy. Something they would be proud to put on their vehicle. My first thought would be to use vinyl and just make a vinyl decal. However, after thinking further an upgrade might be some type of a chrome emblem, although I have tried hard to research this and to see how it might be possible to do some kind of a chrome (or fake chrome) emblem where each one could be made and customized. I have some budget money to spend on this (a few thousands dollars) so I don't want to do something on the cheap and would rather even spend a little more to create a quality product. So, if you had to create either a vinyl decal with a custom QR code for each one or a car emblem with a custom QR Code, and you wanted it to be a quality item, what would you do? Thanks for your help!! Craig
