Hey Joe, that was it, that cutter head was getting pulled back and forth on that track, making all that racket Pop'd them little white wheels in ,and man , what a difference. i cant thank you enuff, thank you thank you thankyou

I just started having this problem today. I 'm some lettering, but my cutter is not the latters on the far right. Maybe about 2" in from the right side is where it kinda fades into nothing. I'm using between 100-110 down force. Its also making some awful sounds. I'm using flexi 7.5 and this plotter is about 1 yr old. Is this about all I can expect of it after this much time? also I see where you guys are talking about lubing. What kind of lube and where should I lube it. Thanks in advance. here is one of my test cuts, not very good

this just started on 08/05/07 I take a design, select the plot tool that sends me to the production manager. and I get this message: "runtime error! ProgramC:ProgramFilesflexiSIGN-Pro7.5v2programapp2.exe abnormal program termination then when I click OK, it takes me to the Production manager, but when I hit "send" to make the cuts I get this message: "no set-up has been selected please select a setup" I have been having sooo much fun with this plotter. What have i done? Thanks in advance for all help G

thanks John. I just upgraded from 256 to to 768 on the memory. still going to go back and re-install my plotter, but the memory didnt help so far

I've messed around with paintshop programs for years, I've never been able to figure out what the Bezier tool does. I'm tryting to trace something out in flexi, but the only tools I can figure out is the freehand. Is there a setting in Flexi where you go do "point to point "drawing? thanks G

I know its not the same software, but this is how Tater helped me with Signcut. My cutter settings said "copam" in the manufactor box. I changed it to Refine, I been cut'n viynl since. Hope this helps

so where do you get yer supplies Tater? I just snagged some orange "diamond plate" on ebay from a company in New jersey. "plastic paper" or something like that. ever heard of anything like that?

I have the refine MH721 and I got my flexi sign to work. Now when i tell it to cut, the Production maager ask for my plotter and model, to choose from a list. the list doesn't include my Refin or MH721. anybody know what a good substituteis? thanks

well, the computer I was useing just wouldnt run the production program the way its suppose to run. attached are a few pic of some of the setting and such. I pluged the ol refine into another computer with flexi on it and away she went . thanks guys for all your help. I'll be back for some more G

yeah Thanks tater, at work right now but I'll try all that stuff when I get home. I'm using com1 with the serial hook up.. Would flexi work better with the USB hook up or does it matter. Once again, thanks to you and ken for all the help. I hope I can help somebody in the ways you guys have helped me G

yeah its got the Roland Brand and PNC1000, Still not have'n any luck. do I need to downlad the PNC driver from somewhere?

Do I need to down load the roland PNC1000 or just tell that to the program? thanks

the best think I got working is the inkscape. I got Flexi sign also, but I'm missing a hardware key that keeps me from useing it

Ken , thanks for your help too. Is there a thread on that discuss how to export stuff from the ink drawing program to the sign cut program? Also can regular files like Jpegs be converted into files that will work with sign cut? Thanks

Serial port, I think its got 9 pins, my plotter sez its a com port

Tater, I'm now on the hooked up on the com port connection, I'm on com 1 on the device manger and in the cutter set up in sign cut. Still getting nothing. I even went to com 4 on the deivice manger and sign cutter(device manger said com 2 and com3 were in use) On the plotter the red light is on set up. I feel like I've got everything installed , so was thinking maybe it was something on the plotter itself. What should the plotter be showing? thanks

I am haveing the same problems. I started out useing the USB cable, installed the Signcut software and drivers. then I switch to the com cables and now I using the LPT cable. I tell the program to cut, it loads the image , but nothing happens. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance
