    This is frustrating!

I have had my laser cutter II machine a few weeks now, and all I am trying to do is cut vinyl quotes to put onto boards.....well it's not working. My cutter is always leaving what I think are called tick marks??? The frustrating thing is that when I call US cutter support which is great, but they all seem to do things a little different....I am not kidding they will go in make some adjustments and say things like this blade off set, or the over cut was set funny..I am like yeah your last guy that I talked to did that and it worked fine for a minute, or until a changed fonts.....I am pulling my hair out, wasting tons of vinyl and time trying to weed it all through. The other thing I have noticed is that when I am cutting a large quote the closer it gets to the top of the quote the harder it is (more ticks) to weed, I don't think it is a dull blade because I often go back and re-cut the letters that could not be saved and I have no issues?!? Just to help I am using Lase cutter II My speed has varied from 600-200 although this does not seem to affect the issue that I am having My pressure is 125 I am using SCALP (yuck I know, but I am a beginner) My blade off set is 0.28 Nit sure what else. PLEASE HELP!!
  2. They had me take the carriage off.....at the bottom of the carriage there are two screws, give them each about 2 full turns to loosen them slightly, then one at a time screw them back in slowly so that they are tightening back up, but so that the carriage arm is still floating.......not sure how else to explain it.
  3. Well I am glad it worked out for you. As an update, if this happens to anyone else......my carriage arm was not "floating" I had to fix it myself with them on the phone as support, and honesty I am mechanically challenged, but it was easy breezy
  4. I still have not been able to get it to work, am waiting to call support in the morning, but I'm trying to decide if it a static issue, the serial port or what.....it is making me crazy and I haven't gotten a single thing done all weekend!
  5. That sounds just like my problem......so did you have to pay to ship it back? And did you have the box that say's keep this box for shipping?? Because my clean freak husband (love him), but he threw that box out
  6. I will call US Cutter in the morning...thanks all for trying to help me out Ü
  7. I do have that right. The plotter head is what I have to manually push down This I am not sure about if it was blue, yes......there is a white strip, but it does not seem to have any kind of type stuck to it. push down, to get it to touch the vinyl. Is there away to attach a video?
  8. Sorry I don't know why I though it was MH This is what I bought USCutter LaserPoint II Vinyl Cutter w/ Sure Cuts A Lot Pro Design & Cut Software http://www.uscutter.com/USCutter-LaserPoint-II-Vinyl-Cutter-w-Sure-Cuts-A-Lot-Pro-Design-Cut-Software
  9. Sorry I am really new to this what do you mean by several files.....I have only tried the test cut and a quote. In my opinion....which doesn't count for much as I am so new, it seems to me that my carriage has an issue...... whenever I start to cut something I have to manually push it all the way down to the vinyl, otherwise there is a gap and the blade doesn't touch at all......I am wondering if this issue is also not allowing the blade to lift when it goes from one cut to another?
  10. I get that, it is now working when I do the test cut, the problem is that it is making extra cuts...... from the reading that I have been seeing it sounds like the blade is not lifting or someone else stated that their cutter was making extra weed cuts? I am using MH series laser cutterII
  11. Sorry I have one more question.......since you are so good at responding.... I am not sure of the correct verbage.......but as I was cutting my quote out today it seems as though where the words were the blade was not going deep enough, but then there are some scratches going from word to word that are deep.......not sure if that makes sense, but just wondering what could be causing this, in the meantime I will keep working on blade depth.
  12. Sorry it was not the grit rollers, it was the pinch bars (I think they are called) being in the wrong place that was keeping the vinyl from not moving.
  13. How do I get signblazer to recognize my cutter? When I go to print from sign blazer I don't see my vinyl machine in the drop down menu, there for it seems that I cannot cut from signblazer?
  14. WAHOO!! I got the wheels rolling (well hubby did) I've decided to give signblazer a try again, how do I sync (maybe not the right word) my cutter to signblazer, so that I can cut directly from signblazer?
  15. yes they will roll.....I just want to thank you guys for trying to help me on this especially on a Saturday morning.... I did download sign blazer I will try my quote from that.
