I've been to 6 different Dollar Tree's and they don't sell them any more. WTF!

That can be the fun thing about Dollar Tree.... you never know what they are going to have or in this case not have I've been checking both of my local stores every week for a particular item with no luck. -

This is just not adding up.... If your available wall space is 10'H x 12'W then this design will not fit if each of the five lines is 24"H (do the math). That design is taller than it is wide so if you want it to fit the wall and stay proportionate it would have to be a minimum of 110"H x 76"W. Thats leaving 5" of wall above and below the design. I personally would opt for a bit more dead space then that but.... Secondly the wall is white so ALL of the vinyl would be black with the wall color showing through the bottom two rows of text. Yes use app tape. I see no other logical way to apply the vinyl. (post a vid if you apply it without app tape) This should be five easy lines to apply and done. ........Not too sure about hiring a shop to hand paint it........seems like a much less economical option when vinyl will suffice.

I can't believe searching "cleaning substrate" "substrate preparation" "vehicle prep" etc produces zero results on this site. Even more surprised there isn't something pinned in the Instructional section. Oh well. I have searched youtube and there are too many dang opinions out there! Frankly I have come to trust the members here more than some dude with a camera. I will be installing graphics on a truck for the first time tonight and I want to make sure I properly prepare the substrate.I will be installing two 15" x 29", two 6" x 29" and two 2" x 18" Oracal 651 graphics. My plan is this: 1) Clean with one drop of Dawn per gal. of water twice. Drying between. 2) Clean with Rapid Tac II three times. Drying between. 3) Clean with 50/50 alcohol/water once. Dry and install. Am I on the right track here? Less or more? Appreciate it guys!

I'll take mine fried on an over-hard fried egg and topped with pepper jack cheese.......all in a buttermilk biscuit. Excellent breakfast sandwich! -
You might want to invest in the "right tools for the job" as they say. There are specific tools for applying over rivets such as river brushes and rollers. I have heard good things about the RollePro. You may also want to consider a steep discount on jobs like this until you get the hang of it. Could go a long ways on return business. I haven't had any jobs with rivets yet but when the first ones do come along I won't charge for the install labor.

Found a nice deal on an old Wolf X Ray Illuminator on Craigslist and jumped on it. Working surface is 28" x 16.75". Should come in handy.

Ha Ha it's kind of funny lookin back at this one. It was my first project. I consider every vehicle to be dirty and they all receive the same treatment regardless of how clean they appear. Now if one rolled in plastered in mud I'd ask the owner to return after a wash. The alcohol and Rapid Tac II are all I use. Nothing special is needed to remove the wax.

I was checking my email for a confirmation # on this mornings USC order and I was pleased to see a nice gift from USC through MVD! Some nice and fun designs. Thank you
-
Looks good! I don't see anything wrong with listing the products you offer and a phone # on the back. Nothing cheesy about free advertising.

Anybody see any new light box designs lately?

I have been using Graphtec Studio with my MacBook Pro which I do like for its simplicity and the fact that I can cut right from GS but I know I will need more if I want to be successful so I started my 30 day trials this weekend. Yeah I think I'll need much longer than that to get the gist of this software. I thought I was making progress and put out some pretty nice work using GS but now I am totally lost again and feeling greener than ever Time to hit YouTube and research research research. If you guys have time for a little advise I sure would appreciate it. I'm sure I'll be full of questions.

Thanks for the Xmas gift USCutter!

Sure you have to be registered to receive the download but they have never bothered me with anything more than offers for significant savings on clean designs. I'm no artist so for me this is a positive. Seem like a pretty good group of people over at MVD. -
She is begging for some matte black! Moody Blue might have something.

I didn't mean to make is sound like it was attached to my confirmation email but I see how one could read it as such. It is a separate email titled "Happy Holidays from USCutter - Free Clipart for You" -
HAPPY TURKEY DAY USC Members!!! Take a little time away from the hustle and bustle of life to post up what you are thankful for. Me? I'm thankful for many things in life but today I am extremely thankful for all of the help I have received here on the forums. As most of you know I started from nothing with high hopes and you all have helped me in so many ways and I am truly grateful!!! Also thankful for my health, family, friends and the good ole USA! Happy Turkey Day Everyone

I agree with Dakota. Simple is fine but he needs some style. You really should talk him into a new design all around. Business cards are cheap and the rest will follow. Give him a new image and he will more than likely see the light.

It goes without saying for me as he is the reason for all that is good in this world. But yes I too am forever grateful for all the good lord had given me.
