Wordpress is always my go to when people want full control. If not I stick with Adobe Muse and create/manage the website myself.

What's your prefered software and why?
Moody Blue replied to Corndog's topic in Other Software Programs
Adobe Creative Cloud... Not only do I get access to the newest of the new Illustrator but also Photoshop, Indesign, Muse, Fireworks, Flash, Bridge, Premier Pro, After Effects, Dreamweaver....and much more. Plus FREE stock images/vector image library and other member perks. I know most people won't have the need for all this but it's great for anybody who doe's graphic design as well as cutting vinyl like I do. -
lay knifeless tape first and then wrap with Avery SW900. You won't regret the outcome.
-
Yes it will stick to the paint. I made my own set using 751 and is still holding up great. Make sure to use a heavy coat of clear to protect the logos from getting damaged by the bags.
-
I use InDesign daily...moreso page layouts than actually designing. Leave the logos and images to be done in Illustrator and Photoshop then just simply link into the InDesign template and package for print.

Started as a graphic artist but now I do creative and brand management for national distribution company from 8-5 on weekdays....then I get home and run Moody Blue Designs for the remainder of the evening until I go to sleep and do it all over again. Dedicate weekends to large installs such as full wraps and time consuming jobs that I can't squeeze in in my "after hours".

I would use a nice handwritten cursive font. Don't have a particular one to suggest maybe look around for some images of Rat Rods and Hot Rod "shop truck" for inspiration.

yeah agreed. looks like an awesome product.

Pretty awesome...but for $500 I think the 'ol measuring tape will do just fine for now lol

If they win games...which they do...then yes.
-
uggg yeah I have pretty much given up on watching the games this season. However after Saturday we have a good chance of making a comeback and maybe at least send the Tigers home in tears. That's about the only thing we have going this year...now we need a new coach and a good recruiter and we will be back in action. With the right staff we could maybe see an SEC championship in the near future.

Here's some fun stuff someone else shared... http://forum.uscutter.com/index.php?/topic/37273-nobody-cares-about-your-family-decal-design-anyone/page-1?hl=+stick%20+figures

Looks good. Yes I would not have done that without wrap vinyl. I just LOVE the ease of wrapping with Avery SW900

That's the 3d carbon fiber from Metro Restyling
-
Nicely done!
-
Just the regular R-Tape nothing fancy. I have used this on carbon fiber also and not had any issues...only the fun of weeding lol
-
I would suggest laying it with knifeless tape if nobody has any. That way you can match the body lines perfectly.

FC3100-60 on a Mac using ILLUSTRATOR CC

IDK I have only had success with Sign Cut on my Mac. Maybe just re-download the plug in and update the software...or uninstall/reinstall?? -
Thanks everyone. Yeah the color is great! Not to mention being from SC garnet and black is one of my favorite color schemes
-
I use a light table and registration marks. Comes out perfect every time.

Buy a license for Sign Cut Pro and get the Illustrator Plug-In. I design in Illustrator CC and get it cut ready...then file>send to sign cut and boom its cutting all from my iMac running El Capitan OS X 10.11.2. I typically don't do anything in Sign Cut except cut. Being a graphic artist I prefer doing everything...layout, tiling, registration marks...in Illustrator prior to sending to Sign Cut. -
Very cool. My niche is Ford trucks. Lots of cool designs you can do for car clubs and vehicle specific groups...then you need to get into vehicle wrapping. Im actually wrapping an FJ cruiser before the end of the year

Local guy gave me complete creative control of his truck last week after seeing some of my other work. Wrapped his hood and tailgate in Avery SW900 Matte Black. Wrapped the emblems in that same matte black and applied Oracal 951 Silicon Metallic as the "Ford", "F-150", Smoke Edition lettering to match the paint. Also gave him some custom "FX2 Smoke Edition" cut from 751 Matte Black. Its all about the little details when doing truck accents

I would call the shots in this case. Make them send you a zipped folder with all the print ready files and run a batch print. Only issue...as you stated...tying up personnel by someone having to babysit and replace paper as necessary...which a multi-tasker could do while tending to other projects. I would just outsource the job to a larger print shop and charge a "hassle fee". If they don't like the price they can simply move on. Big jobs are worth big $$
