"stealing is stealing" waaaaaaa, big vagina! :'( I wouldn't waste my time with that empty offer, you seem like the type who's pretty brave on the web because your such a pu$$y in real life. Besides, you'll always be an a$$hole in my book... and I'm sure many others around here now feel the same. speaking of brave, you are the douche that started the whole shanking thing. bring it you little bitch. as far as how others think. the only people's opinion i give a fat rat's ass about, are the people that agree with me.
-
why was it a shitty thing to do? wouldn't you wanna know if someone took something from you? it's OK when it's not you being stolen from. what if you were the one that designed EFI Live's original Logo. wouldn't you be pissed as a designer or pissed if you were the owner that paid that designer just to have someone with no talent steal your idea because they aren't smart enough to do something for themselves. think about it...
-
lol. go ahead. stealing is still stealing. i'll pm you my addy if you wanna come try the "shank" thing you speak of.

the whole vinyl game right now. the problem is, the responsible thing would be to tell your customer that is someone elses intellectual property. we both know, however, that if you do that you will lose the sale to someone else who doesn't care who's idea they steal. it's a lose lose for a responsible business owner. the other thing is the end user. they probably didn't inform you that was someone else's logo. but, if someone was stealing their shit they'd be pissed. bye the way, this is not a bitch at you thing. after you told me it wasn't your design, i knew that your customer had not informed you of what they were doing. they will probably be getting a call however from the owner of EFI Live. i happen to be big in the diesel racing thing and have already sent them a screen shot with your customer's info and what they are doing.
-
i understand that....it's EFI Live's design. then stolen by your customer. and people wonder why this business is such a cluster F right now.
-
ell oh ell.....you could just plegerize the entire EFI Live logo i guess.
-
the one last sacred thing in this business. most will not openly share a template for any kind of vehicle.

not sure how other versions of corel work, but i have X4 and open AI files all the time. you just open a blank document and then import the AI file into that blank document. the only time it doesn't work is when the file is compressed. just thought you might find that useful for down the road

just weld it. it cleans right up. takes away about 95% of the nodes

I am asking this in ernest & not being critical . I am not good at proper grammer . Should " if you bought a $300 cutter and expected anything LESS , then you ..... " be " if you bought a $300 cutter and expected anything MORE , then you .... " ? you know, i questioned the more or less myself. but i reasoned that i was talking about his problem with the cutter hence the less. i reasoned that if i was talking about his expectations only when buying the cutter new, i would have used more.
-
first off sorry to hear about the problem. now on to how i feel. if you bought a $300 cutter and expected anything less, then you are a fool. lastly, if you haven't made that money back 20 fold since may, don't worry about buying a new or better cutter. you are in the wrong business anyways. good luck.

you should probably check your search function on your computer. there are a ton of black and white boxing glove images you could download and vectorize. here's another example.

help with pricing vinyl on trailer
megacab replied to Paddy's topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
The chinese cutter owning part describes at least 1/2 of this forum if not more ... I'm not sure about the rest .. guess everybody is entitled to an opinion about that . Technology & competition never stands still . I'm sure some described Home Depot negatively compared to Hechinger's when they 1rst came out since Hechinger's was the standard then .... Hechingers is a distant memory & Home Depot is going great . but, hopefully the chinese cutter part is the only thing more than half this forum have in common. you do not have to give this work away......bottom line. that's why i answered the question with what i would charge on top of my sarcastic remark. at least the OP would like to know what others think his work is worth. unlike some who look at a job like that and think " i can buy a roll of shinerite for $20. i'd be happy to make a couple hundred on the whole thing." not even realizing they are hurting themselves in the process. once you start going cheap, it's very difficult to go the other way. the customer base gets used to that cheap pricing and thinks it's the norm. i understand the whole supply and demand issue. but there are plenty of other cases where the bigger box store, cheaper pricing, didn't win out in the end. look at circuit city and Mervyn's. -
the daily driven, drag racing, boat hauling, brush bustin, diesel with 6 cylinders that does what takes most trucks 8 to do....... turn the volume down on this, unless you wanna hear a spoiled child talkin, then yelling at his mother who was trying to videotape his daddy and ignoring the child while doing so......my boy needed an ass whoopin after this :'(
