    Help adjusting cutting signcut

Hockeygirl is right. I have a USC MH721 and had the same problem. I changed the cutter from a US Cutter MH721 to a Refine 1 HPGL and it works like a charm now. All jobs cut and finish properly. A~

    It's not signcut

No more tips. Get rid of the USB. It's not reliable. Serial interface is ALWAYS better. If your computer is not "too new" you should have a serial port (9 pin). A~

Has anyone tried the new GreenStar Matte Black Vinyl?

I bought the starter 12 pack of Greenstar (calendered) to give it a shot. So far, I've had no problems with it. It's easy to handle, cuts well and weeds very easily. Application is the same...very easy (wet or dry). I like that it's US made and the price is right. Of course, for longevity, you'll want to go with cast vinyl. I've used some of all of it, Oracal, Avery and a few others. I believe Greenstar can hold it's on. A~

    Where to buy vinyl

I use Signwarehouse and USCutter (in that order) here. I've used Beacon Graphics in the past and never had a problem. I may order from them too from time to time. A~

    My first race car.

Nice job! I remember putting the graphics on a race car for the first time, I messed up one of the BIG #2's and had to recut it. Trying to put vinyl on with a bunch of people watching can be distracting too Got it done though and it turned out very nice. The car owner was very proud of it. A~

    application test

You're right, it did cut through. I've got to "clean up" a little more on it. It's actually a font and that's the way it cut. Dakota's correct, a weld would've made it right. Thanks for the comments, I'm having to relearn some things A~

    application test

The glass is tinted...but I had to take the pic at an angle to keep the glare from over-riding the decal, that's why it looks black. Thanks! A~
  13. Love the car! Excellent work! I bet that was a pain working in the wind. Been there, done that

    application test

Just getting back in the swing of things. Wanted to make sure I could still get it right A couple of shots of a quick test on the back glass of my truck. Three layers, black, white and maroon. Wet application, of course. The Empire lives! Alignment is not "exactly" right on...but plenty close enough. I had to take the pics at an angle because of the glare. Thanks for looking! A~
