lost1 replied to TruckDriver's topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
Regular vinyl? how long will it take you to cut & weed, add app tape, drive there and install? How much do you need top make per hr? cover overhead? advertising value? I'd be at $75 your area will differ. -

Ink Jet vs Vinyl Cut Transfers for Tshirt making
lost1 replied to rs6blades's topic in T-Shirts and/ or Garments
The vinyl will outlast the garment in most cases while the inkjet will fade out as it gets washed. Plastisol transfers are another option http://www.transferfreedom.com/4prpltr.html that will last a long time but better for the 24 pc & up orders. -

I am not trying to sell you anything. My prices are what the market will bear in my area. Heck the Walmart near me charges more for things here then they do at their stores an hour away.

Profit is not a dirty word, it is what you are in business for. Charge enough to cover all your expenses even if you work out of your basement. Pay yourself a good salary and have a profit to make it worth your time.

Quick pricing question on heat press vinyl
lost1 replied to MisterEd65's topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
I was running a business long before you, sonny boy. Very successfully. What you don't 'comprehend' is that you are the lone voice here. Nobody else thinks $25 is a fair price. Well lookie here, sonny boy, someone else here thinks the same: If you don't believe your work is worth the money, your client won't either. -

I'm in this business for 25 yrs. I get paid a fair price for my work. I sleep well at night because my bills are paid, there is food on the table and there is a nice roof over my head. Not being rude, telling it as it is. You are welcome to ignore me. -

How will you like having to work when you're 75 because you didn't charge enough when you were younger? Maybe not such a gooddeal for you after all, but hey, your friends will take care of you-NOT! -
