After engraving on a sheet of Laser-it anodized aluminum, there's smoky film. I've tried various ways to clean it, but most of the time it scratches. Does anybody engrave and have a good solution? I've used tissues, techwipes, paper towels, toilet paper, etc.
-
Hard to see I guess but here's a picture. They're small, but I don't want any scratches.
-
It may be. What's weird is I can't find a solution anywhere, even though it's the most commonly used product in engraving. I mean trophies and plaques etc. I may see about getting a microfiber cloth somewhere and see if that'll work to clean it after engraving.

I mean I'm using tissue paper and such and it's scratching it. I don't know what to do. I usually run it a few times and use the one that doesn't happen to scratch.

That's awful. The picture is definitely too small to enlarge to get a tag number though sorry.

forum experiencing some issues with google chrome
tooler82 replied to Dakotagrafx's topic in General discussion
I'm using IE on this government computer, and yesterday I was getting the government page about it being a potentially bad site. I hit refresh and it would come back. Going through the forums, it did it again, but I hit refresh and it kept coming back. -

Does anyone know of a like Army vehicle vector pack out there? I've been looking for awhile. I have requests all the time for engraving with vehicles, but don't have any.
-
Yeah I have them. They want more detail then just a silhouette.

Oh ok. I think I figured I'm going to print them across and down the roll. Once I get the 300, I'll cut them off and roll them up. It won't be 1 on each but rather about 5 on each strip, but it's the best I can do.
-
So a unit bought a bunch of their unit patch decals and they were on a big roll. You unroll it, pull the sticker off, roll to get the next one, etc. How in the world did somebody put 100's of decals on one long roll?

Also, that's why I love my FlexiSign. In Production Manager, it tells me the cost, sq ft I used, and the cost of the ink and how much of each ink for a job.

To get it to add, you do: =sum(Gwhatever:Gwhatever) It'll add the cells up you tell it to.

Not to beat a dead horse, but the site actually says Bodek and Rhodes

The most commonly used question in graphic design. Which one can I convince the government to buy me? They don't like the subscription based products, but that's about what everything is going to. Since there's lots of masters on this forum that have been doing this for many years, which is the better all around for graphic design?
-
The problem with those is they're not approved to put on this government computer.
-
Thank you for all your input. I may just see if they can get both, but who knows. I just don't know where to buy the standalone Adobe Collection without CC. They would be better to go for that than a subscription based. Anything we purchase has to go up the chain for approval, and it's a little tough for subscriptions.

It seems from what I've been reading online is Adobe is superior, but offers no updates. Where as Corel is catching up, and offers updates. Just don't know which to ask them to buy. I've been using FlexiSign, but I need more functions and extras.
