  1. I made this video a while ago, but thought I should share it with the group.

It shows how I use the effect --> contour cut to make an outline of some text for some lettering. It allows for me to create a layered set of outlines to cut on my laserpoint 24 and create some RTA (ready to apply) lettering.

  2. I made this for a neighbor who owns a recycling company and needed to replace his stencils for painting on dumpsters.

I cut it out on my laserpoint. I slowed down (about 20) the cut and increased the pressure (about 140). I did only run one pass then had to cut out by hand the letters. I might try two passes next time and see if it would be close to cutting through.

  3. I have a customer looking to have a 100 coroplast signs made in a TRIANGLE shape. 3 even sides with, yellow coroplast with black ink/vinyl.

    1. anyone know where to get any blanks in this shape? sizes we are looking at are 6", 8", 12", and 18". Customer will only choose one size.

    2. does anyone want to make these and how much? PM me. Ship to WA.

  4. Just thought I'd throw this out there.

I finally gave in to getting a usb to serial port adapter. I was having issues even just cutting some simple text. It would die and go to 'waiting'. (I have had my LP 24" for over a year).

I bought one from staples, a staples brand, and just hooked it up and we have flawless cutting. Hope this helps someone out.

  5. I sell my one color T's for $15. I don't have much expenses though. This is something I do in my off time out of my home office so my only expense is the materials and my time. I would probably expect an actual store to charge more for them as they have a lot more overhead expenses.

There's a shop in the local mall here that does the exact same vinyl shirts. They charge $40 a shirt or $60 for two and they stay BUSY!

    Off topic but,

Anyone have any shirt suppliers they use? I pay $5 a shirt now. Is this a competitive price??

Try SanMar. But prices are going to climb with textiles going up (sanmar already sent out a letter). But not much less than $3 for a basic t-hirt.

  6. This is a quick up of the rate comparison. Basically if you spend $300 or less per transaction, then use should use square.

    Rate Comparison

    Amount $300.00

    Fee Rate Cost

    Intuit 0.15 2.70% $8.25

    0.15 3.70% $11.25

    Square 0 2.75% $8.25

    0.15 3.50% $10.65

    Intuit 0.3 1.70% $5.40

    w/mo

    fee

    $12.95

So the monthly fee would need to be split out and shared to make sense. I guess if you have over 6 transaction per month over $300 then you should use the plan with the month fee. Again, just a sample.
