    Connection no longer working

I ran into something similar. I would try to send the info to the machine and it would start loading then just stop so I had no choice but to sit and wait or push ABORT. re-started the computer and switched off and back on the cutter it still did it so I started looking for other solutions. Then I decided to try physically unplugging the cutter for 30 seconds and WALLA!!!!! it started working again. Must have got a cob-web in it's buffer.
  2. I was nervous that I would have alot of trouble setting up and making this cutter work for me since I'm new to vinyl cutting and am only pretty good with computers. I had my first vinyl sticker cut out in 3 hours after opening the box. This is a great cutter, especially for the money and it really does everything they say it will do. Unfortunatly I bought all vinyl with tracking holes in the side and the cutter just does friction feed, so it takes a little skill to get it perfectly straight but that's just a minor thing I think I can overlook considering I paid $700 for a machine that does the same job of the $3000 dollar machines. All in All I am very impressed and US cutter got me twice the machine I hoped for under $1000.!!!!!! Thanks Guys William Wellisch Santa Rosa, CA
  3. Thanks ken, I decided I better go back and try it again, I looked things over carefully and I don't remember exactly what I did different (sorry) but it worked this time. YIPPEEEE...... if I did it once I think I can do it again, probably, maybe. It seems like if you take your time and really look things over well it works like a charm.
  4. Hello my name is William and I finally took the plunge and bought the Copam vinyl cutter from USCUTTERDIRECT.com. I was very worried that I would have trouble with making the cutter funcion without any driver issues and figured I would spend at least a few night pulling my hair out and calling for tech support. I WAS WRONG!!!!!!!!! I got my cutter at 7 pm and after reading everything from cover to cover, WARNINGS and ALL!! and assembling the machine, I had the machine up and running without a single problem!!! and had a sticker cut and weeded to show my wife in less than three hours of picking up the cutter from UPS (couldn't wait til 2pm the next day!) My only complaint is for UPS, The box was really beat up and there was even a chunk of paint missing from one of the steel frame legs(I took pictures)Luckily the cutter was packed extremely well and despite it's rough journey it works perfectly. Also I have had the same trouble importing .eps files from INKSCAPE to SIGNCUT as has been mentioned in another place on this site. Hopefully someone will figure this out and post a solution for us newbies.
