    Trying to get started

Got the blade to stay down - I worked on figuring it out for a few hours - my hubby came home and said - Oh you do that like this! I felt like such a moron.. lol I have it on the back position but still not sure it is sitting where it is supposed to be.

    transferring from inkscape to signcut

Hi - I created an image in sign cut, made a bitmap copy, got it down to the outline, saved it as a DXF file - then I went to inkscape and opened the DXF file - well it changed the image and added extra lines I didn't want - What do I need to do differently? Still knew to this whole thing - a little overwhelmed I think I have 2 logos to do as I have my first order and don't have any idea where to start - any help anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.
  4. Hello, I just got the Refine MH721 and am very confused.. lol I have Sign cut installed and the cutter is installed via USB port - I went into signcut and set it for the usb settings on Com4 (the cutter responds fine to the computer) I don't think I have the blade installed right as I can't figure out how to make it stay down - the pen writes the test pattern fine but I can't get the blade to work/stay down - What am I doing wrong??? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also I am a scrapbooker and would like to cut other mediums than vinyl such as: paper, cardboard, and chipboard - anyone know if these are acceptable materials for this machine??
