I had this client order magnets and stickers from me along with some buttons, but she also asked if I can do temporary tattoos. I have no clue how they are even made or if its possible to make them from home/small business. Does anyone know the process of making these?

Stand Your Ground On Tough Customers!
pyrophire replied to john!'s topic in Business Practices, Sales and Pricing, etc.
My customers sometimes dont like the sound of their total, but yet they keep coming back because of the quick turn around time and quality product they receive. -
thought it was a full race car, then i saw the size of the aggregate in the asphalt and saw it was a mini car lol
-
What is weird is that if i do a livetrace of an image then add a drawn shape, the livetrace area will cut out perfect, then the drawn shape will have the triangles on every corner

do your reg marks on the 12" side and throw a couple like every 20" to make sure you are still aligned as you lay it out.

Ok to heat press an Under Armor Shirt?
pyrophire replied to lionsnwings's topic in T-Shirts and/ or Garments
If it says do not iron, i wouldnt try it. They are usually made of low temp material that will melt in high heat. Heatpresses are hotter than irons and the pressure will definitely add to the damage. Just my opinion on it. -
You can get rolls of mactac/sihl/avery inkjet vinyl and cut it yourself for about 1/2 the price of the papillio paper based on square inch calculations.

nah, having a backwards design makes you unique, especially when people are trying to read your shirt! lol

Just got the signwarehouse catalog in the mail yesterday and noticed that they have this "hover" heatpress that can be used as a flash unit, im guessing for plastisol? I think thats what high settings would be good for

You need the dip distance from the middle of the windshield and just do a curve path, from there you can build up what you need.

Parts of letters getting bent up when cutting
pyrophire replied to prettybird's topic in Competitor Cutter Help
Sounds like your cutting blade might be dull, you can try switching it out and see if that fixes the problem. -
1/3 of order done first day back from vacation
pyrophire replied to Dakotagrafx's topic in Show your work
Sure does suck when you run out of material/supplies mid job doesnt it. *waits for inkjet vinyl to come in -
I dont know what i voted for, they both had the same option lol. Get the workforce 1100, you wont regret it if you do inkjet prints. if you get the CIS from cobra, you will be saving a ton of money on ink and richard is awesome. i had a problem with my printer on a saturday at 8 at night, he was able to help me fix it right away

Cutter stopping mid cut
pyrophire replied to kfgreen's topic in USCutter Refine Cutting Plotter Discussion
I had a large job stop about 1/4 of the way in yesterday, I was running it at about 12/s and bumped it up to 24 and it was fine, I'm guessing it was a memory issue like stated above. The faster speed means it doesnt have to hold those commands in memory and can keep accepting more commands from the programs. -
What do you mean by bounding box? The background color?

Ordered mine on the 7th and got it today
-
I get the "too high" when I go from text in illy to signcut, but if i save it as a pdf, do the livetrace and send it to signcut, it does the "good" I still have no clue why it does it, its a pain to fix but its just so weird. It does it inside the design too. Sorry, not trying to hijack the thread, just wondering why the little triangles come out.

pyrophire replied to a topic in General discussion
Same here, I have about 5 diff companies and all have a min of 190+ price on banners, so i can undercut them for one color stuff and get the business. -
I just got mine today and did a couple of test pattern cuts on some siser i had loaded from a previous job. I was cutting at 70g, with the cleancut its at 40g now. I think I'm going to make some graphics for my truck with some matte black vinyl to just use the blade

Oracal 751 Matte Black for Racing Stripes for car?
pyrophire replied to Nick Stylez's topic in Vinyl
Thanks! I really appreciate it. I was hoping i didn't have to use that wrap vinyl with the overlaminate that someone on here recommended. Stripes usually only have to deal with curves on one axis so cast vinyl is good for that, doing the whole hood has curves in multiple axes which the wrap vinyl is designed for -
Oracal 751 Matte Black for Racing Stripes for car?
pyrophire replied to Nick Stylez's topic in Vinyl
751 is cast, which means it wont shrink in the sun or crack. It will work for what you want to do, 651 could be used, but 751 would be better. -
