Are there any Mac users out there?

I use a 08 MacbookPro and an even older mini with CS5 and never noticed and lagging other than tracing a large multicolor design. I also upgraded both to SSD hard drives and could not be happier. Recently i've been using Microsoft Surface Pro to do everything. It's an amazing tablet... CS5, Corel Draw, iDesignR all work flawless. Jason

    MESSING AROUND

looks nice. might try to make the boat with outlines. reason is when someone wears a shirt like that or similar with a large solid piece of heat transfer it becomes a hot spot on the shirt. no air flow and tends to make a stick sweaty spot. HTV is great but not for doing large solid designs, try to outline. my 2 pennies

    Needing Help.. Yet AGAIN!

I was going to suggest make sure you blade holder did not come loose… that happen to me one Also making sure your pinch rollers are clean. both of these would cause some poor cuts.. or worse
  17. oh.. and a real sharp new blade one class I took, we were told on certain material you may need to snap the blade off about every 6 feet to maintain a clean cut.
  18. not sure about this, but if you pulled a piece of knifeless from side to side (the 84" width) and made sure its level you would have a nice straight clean cut across the top of the vinyl. as for as the other sides, like kal259 said except no need to hinge. just take a piece of vinyl about 12" x 90" and slap is up wet.

Applying cut vinyl to hard hat

solve your problem… use vinyl with an air release adhesive: Hexis all there HX products have this. 3M has Controltac to name a few that way if you handing them out you don't need to give heating instructions :-)
  22. Having problems installing Graphtec cutter, make sure you are not plugging it into a USB 3 (blue) port. After hours of frustration, it simply came down to switching it to the USB 2.0 port. story goes I had a computer go down and had a few RUSH jobs to do, so I grabbed my laptop and proceeded to install my cutter. I mistakenly was plugging it into the blue usb and the computer insisted i was installing a printer with problems.
  23. Just a follow up, even after a proper install now the Plotter is not recognized through USB 3.0 That really stinks because I was thinking of setting up my Surface Pro to run it as back but it only has USB 3.0 Come on Graphtec, if your aware of this please fix. Maybe there is a firmware upgrade. I will let you know if I come across one.

    Reflective Vinyl tips needed

I have basically the same setup. I have cut a lot of reflective… the jeep with the digital circuit board for one if you have seen it. When I get a chance I will post my exact setting and how i set my blade. I have never heard of the credit card thing. I'm self taught so I may be doing it wrong but I've had no problems. Also, my blades last a long time..
