Someone free to do this better then me?

I agree with Dakota. If you are going to be in business, learn to trace / recreate yourself. Or offer to pay someone for their hardwork.

    Any Advice?

Whether or not you can get into an office depends on how much money you are making, and if you can cover the costs of rent, electricity, water, gas etc. How much are you making per month doing signs?
  3. Hey everyone, I recently purchased a used Copam 2500 and my connection to my copam is very inconsistant, it reminds me of when i first bought my pcut before we switched from the usb cable to the serial cable. On the Copam I tried the serial cable to no avail, so I went a purchased a parallel to parallel and hooked it up via the parallel port on the computer. That worked while i tested the depth on a few small decals until I got it right, i then loaded a larger file to cut, and it would not work. It went through the process as if it was cutting on the computer but did not communicate with the cutter (The computer did not say it couldnt find the cutter, it just went through the cut path as if it were working) So i tried restarting the computer, and the cutter, then both and none of that worked. So I removed the parallel port and reinstalled signblazer and it worked. So I cut the few decals I needed, and the computer sat on the cut screen for a while after until my wife got home. I tried to show her how to use the new cutter and it did the same thing (not communicating) So I went through the motions again, and reinstalled signblazer (without unplugging parallel) and it still didnt work. It did work however when I unplugged the parallel and replugged it in again. Any idea what the issue could be? I am desperate and need a cutter that is reliable as business is growing quickly

  5. Hey everyone, I am wondering if anyone is interested in a possible partnership. I own a vinyl graphics company, and it is getting too large for me to handle right now with my current day job. I am curious if there is any interest in a pseudo fulfillment service with me. We are currently selling between 15-25 wall decals a day, and am hiring a virtual assistant to help increase our sales. I however, am having a tough time completing all of the orders every day. I am looking for someone that is interested in possibly doing the cutting, application tape, and shipment for me? I need pricing per decal including cutting, weeding, application tape, tube stuffing, shipping and handling? Currently we are using USPS, and the shipping averages $2.20 each. The vinyl that we are currently using is Oracal 631 (Matte) and the typical size is anywhere between 10" x 22" and 22" x 36". The person/company that we choose will have to sign a non disclosure, and non compete agreement but with the marketing efforts that are putting forth, we are expecting sales to be 50+ per day by january of next year Let me know if anyone is interested. Thanks,

    Gymnastics Meet - Sales Opportunity

We did not take any photos of our setup, We had planned on it but were too busy. We basically took the front desk of the Gym so it was easier. We Hung a few hoodies so people could see the front and back, and wrapped the tee shirts in square pieces of coroplast and pitched them up on the counter so people could see. We also had a window decal display on an easel for easy viewing. We then brought a few portfolios of our wall art for people to browse while they were waiting that was a huge success.

What he said. Stay away from Copywritten material, its not worth it and frankly it makes you look amateur. As far as finding what to sell, know your audience. What is the fair for?

    Gymnastics Meet - Sales Opportunity

UPDATE We had the meet this weekend and brought in a little over $800.00 Gross. We sold a lot of shirts and hoodies, as well as car decals and some Vinyl Wall Art oddly enough. All in all it was a big success. We still have a lot of refinement to do before our next meet in one month. Thanks to everyone for your ideas.
  11. I haven't seen a thread on this forum like this. I like to find out how everyone gets their business. Thought provoking threads that help out the community as a whole are the best. Ill start. We do primarily Vinyl Wall Art which is our bread and butter, but locally we do a bit of business with my day job (fleet graphics, banners, door signage) We also do alot of business for some local gymastics and cheerleading gyms. Signs, Banners, and Apparel. As well as setting up booths at Gymnastics Meets in the area. I am toying with the idea of putting up some craigslist adds, but my time is limited since I have a day job. Does anyone get a good response from Craigslist? I look forward to everyone's insight.

Thats a good idea. We were planning on carrying a short supply, and taking orders that we will say will be shipped within a week, payment upfront of course. I don't want to offer too many things, I want to keep it relevant to the event, but we will have a portfolio book with all of the stuff that we do offer. We also are in the process of getting a fairly large order from one of the teams at the gym, should be somewhere in the neighborhood of 50 shirts, average sales price of $16.00.

    Gymnastics Meet - Sales Opportunity

Hey all, I have an opportunity to set up a booth at a Gymnastics Meet in three weeks or so. This will be the second gymnastics meet that we have done, but our first with our new heat-press (We bought an 16" x 20" Geo-knight clamshell. Last time we sold decals and customized coroplast signs and didn't do too bad ($350.00 All Day) but it was a boys meet. This time its a girls meet so we are expecting a lot more business. My question to you all is, are there any other money making ideas that I am leaving out that we can offer? And with a meet of 200 Girls, and all of their parents and siblings, how many shirt should I expect to have on hand to sell? We have purchased 50, with a mixture of T shirts, hoodies, and long sleeve shirts. Any insight is appreciated. Thanks
