    heat transfer has yellow tint

Consider also that your print driver might need adjusting. I use a WF1100 with pigment inks and set my color settings to magenta +5, cyan +5, yellow -25. This removed yellowing from my transfers.
  2. I hope so. I have heard good things and look forward to my learning curve not being hampered by these types of technical issues.
  3. As I have a shipping company it is not a huge issue for me.
  4. My PCut has not worked properly since purchased. It has many stray cuts. I called and spoke with a few of the tech specialists at US Cutter. My issue after much discussion, was determined to be a mother board. I was offered a new mother board to hopefully correct the matter. Instead of messing around with replacing it and then re-testing etc, I decided simply to upgrade my machine to a Copam. My experience with US Cutter technical support thus far has been top notch. They have been personable, articulate and informed about their product. They made my upgrade painless and reasonable. I am sending back my PCut today and have already been notified that my Copam was been shipped as of last evening. Very smooth transition. I very much appreciate their work. Final judgment will be made when my credit card is properly refunded as promised, but at this point I have no indication that anything other than that will happen. Thanks very much for not making this a hand wringing experience!
  5. The wire did not work. I had also submitted a ticket with US Cutter and they could not have been more helpful. The conclusion after a bit of discussion was that this issue was likely caused by a bad motherboard. While the machine is under warranty the thought of replacing the motherboard in the hopes that it might work did not appeal to me. My business is growing and as such I decided to upgrade my machine to a Copam. Tech support helped me through this process. That, as they say, is that.
  6. Wow. Interesting. USB connection. I don't think I have a serial connection. I guess I will try a piece of wire. Thank you both.
  7. Thank you. I saw no grounding wire in the packaging but will try to do this. What sort of wire should I get, I presume at the hardware store..? This feels like progress.
  8. Equipment & Software: Creation PCut 24 inch, SignCut Pro & Sign Blazer, Vista op system, Corel Draw Each time I send an item to the cutter it creates a number of stray cuts. Beginning with an X but then horizontally thru out the piece. I am using the blade that came with cutter. It has been set correctly by a friend who has been in the sign business for 20 years. I have tested, in increments everything from pressure (115-120) to speed (30-50), to blade offset ( now set to 00) with no resolution to this issue. The manual indicated a correlation between cut speed and possible stray marks on the vinyl. As stated, this advice was of no consequence when tried. At wits end. Ready to set the machine at the curb. Perhaps someone might suggest a solution to this issue? Thanks in advance. PS: The test rectangle cuts fine. So, I thought it was a software issue, I changed cutting software and had the same stray marks. Also forgot to mention- these marks still appear when all weed marks, registration marks, etc have been turned off.
  9. I measured the temps at 4 quadrants and center. I had variations between 20 and 80 degrees. If the temp was off even 80 degrees but off consistently- meaning on all surface areas measured , I would have simply adapted. I was unable to compensate as the platen was one temp in upper right, another in upper left and so on. Ultimately, they claim that they are now using my heat press to calibrate all the others going out the door. Whatever... I would have been excited to have been made one of the many satisfied customers they do have. So,,, if you have one and it works great. I wish I was one of those customers. If you purchase and try to get anyone to listen to you when a problem does arise - best of luck and god speed.
  10. When I wanted to buy my first heat press I looked to the forums for advice. Many people had presses from SunIE and loved them. They are affordable and come with a 3 year warranty. I placed my order and received my press. After what seemed an inordinate number of failed transfers both jpss and plastisol I became concerned with the heat presses reliability. I purchased a infrared -thermometer
  11. Thanks Dakotagrafx ! Much appreciated for the information needed that was NOT in the manual.
  12. Is the off-set changed in the cutting software? I do not see an off-set in the menu of the PCut cutter itself. And... would that change be upward or downward? I would guess downward.
  13. Thanks! I see 'PRESS' I am assuming that this is short for PRESSURE. I will try this. Thanks.
  14. I am having a tough time with my first weed using apparel vinyl. What I realized is that some of the letters are not cut completely. Causing the weeding to be a BEAR. Is there a way to adjust the pressure of the cutting blade? Should I try this? Would I also slow down the cutting if all the letters are not cutting cleanly? Using: PCut and Cutting ThermoFlex Plus vinyl. Thanks in advance!
