Need help with hat heat press.

OK. Just throwing this out there but you do know 550*F = 287*C. If it's only going to 290 you might be in Celsius. Have you tried checking the temp with an infrared Thermometer?

    Across the road banner.

So a lady I work with is in charge of an event committee for her town. She wants me to place a bid to do a banner across the main street road. Has anyone done a banner like this? What kind of materials is involved? Do you use an HD banner material? What kind of materials do you use to hang it and do you use weights at the bottom to keep it from tangling up? Any help will be greatly appreciated. The good thing is she can get the town maintenance crew to hang it because I don't do heights very well. hehe

I've been doing alot of research. Cable runs top and bottom. Grommets every 18"-24" Thanks for the picture FrznFire07. I hadn't read anything about tensioners but I think that's a great idea.

What's the white stuff on the ground. hehe I was actually in Chicago airport heading back to FL when it started snowing. I got back to Orlando and stripped down to shorts and a t-shirt. I'll be sporting flip-flops tomorrow. Man I love Florida.

    online custom shirt companies

Easy! A. Offer them a complete order in 3-4 days instead of 2 weeks and they don't have to pay any shipping charges. B. Design their shirts for them so they don't have too. (People are lazy.)
  11. What's the difference between Oralite 5500 and 5600? What do you guys use? Do you have any tips or tricks for cutting reflective vinyl? I've been cutting on some Oralite 5500 and it's a huge pain. I've adjusted the blade and pressure but I'm still having to make 2 passes to be able to weed it. I'm also getting some lift in the corners. I've moved the blade in very VERY slightly (Talking 2-3* turn) and it doesn't cut all the way through. I've upped the pressure and it still doesn't help, I'm even doing 2 passes. Just wanted to see if anyone has any advice to provide a good easy weeding cut without lifting the corners. BTW I'm using a MH-871

Thanks for pointing out the plane. I didn't see that. I also caught the Eagle shield doesn't have the white stripes- I fixed that.
  13. I'm working with a customer that has this image he wants redone with more details. I've been rebuilding most of it but I'm having some trouble finding some graphics. Here's the image. Here are the things I can't find or don't know where to look. If anyone has something that will work I'd really appreciate it. I'm not sure what this is called. I can't find an image of corn like this anywhere. And the last thing is... What's the best way of getting these Chinese symbols.

  21. I've been working with a local golf cart dealer to come up with an eagle emblem for the side of his golf carts. He wants them about 4-5" cut out of reflective vinyl I sent him a few ideas and he really seemed to like this one. I was gearing up to get ready to cut them, when I talked to him again and he said one of his employees didn't think it even looked like an eagle and could I come up with something better. I've been looking around a ton. Even for paid ones. But everything I see just seems too detailed for the size he wants. Some of them would be great if he was looking for an 8-10" decal. I'm at a lose of what to do. I'd like to get his business but I don't know how...... Do I tell him I can't do it? Has anyone seen a better eagle head?

    Lease vs. Purchase

Thank you for taking the time to explain. It's information like this I like to lock away in the brain and then pull out if I ever start having similar problems. You mentioned corners. Something I noticed recently and maybe it applies here. I noticed flexi mearsures blade offset in millimeters. so when I was plugging in blade offsets of .025 and .030 like the box of blades stated, I was actually typing .025 in mm. Which happens to be 0.000984252 inches. I'm just throwing it out there in case your software is doing the same.
