I have an opportunity to expand my business into engraving but I'm having a really hard time finding a source for edge lit bases. I've been trying for the past 3 week to develop a process to make bases but I'm completely failing in coming up with a quality base. I've been searching for the past week trying to find somewhere that I can purchase a pre-made base but I've had 0 luck. They don't even have to come wired. I'm more then comfortable wiring the LED's up myself. Has anyone seen a place to purchase them at a decent price? Can anyone help me??? I've tried searching so many key word terms and have still turned up nothing. I see people using edge lit bases all over ebay and estsy I just can't find where they are getting them from.

Thanks @Wildgoose I've been struggling for a few years to find a market I enjoyed making stuff for and that isn't completely saturated with people. Now all I need to do is find a happy price point.

All laser etched. I sold all of my sandblasting equipment about a year ago. I started off with a blue and white laser engraver from ebay. At the time they were about $2000. Since then I believe they've gotten cheaper. Like I said in my other post. Even after my intial purchase I'd had to put alot more money into it. I've blown 2 tubes now and cheap one cost more than your $500 budget. Let me know if you have any questions.

Well I'm going to start off with, you can't get a laser to do what you want for under $500. The ones you are looking at on ebay aren't big enough to fit a rotary. It's not an easy or cheap field to get into. I'll be happy to answer any questions you have. If you're looking for a quality china laser you can buy from a US company look into Boss laser ot Rabbit laser.

Yes the .mov show them off and on. Only the most famous rolls of tape get a photo shoot like that.

20 shirts it about my maximum for heat transfer vinyl shirts. After that it's worth it to me to save my time and order Plastisol transfers. The time saved is WELL worth the little bit of added cost. I can have 50 shirts done with only putting in 1-1.5 hours of work.

Where do you see that it prints using Eco-solvent ink? The way I'm reading it uses Eco-tanks meaning that it's "eco"nomical for printing because it prints so mean pages from it's tanks of ink. Just making sure you're not confused about what you're buying.

If you want a perfect job then I'd use an air release wrap vinyl like 3M 1080 and knifeless tape. You're going to end up with a few air bubbles for sure if you use sign vinyl.

Largest Light base I make. 12"x12" Turned out awesome. Pictures don't do it justice. It's a nice even color throughout the whole sign.

I scheduled my first ever USPS pickup tonight. In the past it's always been small enough to put in the mailbox or I had time to drop it off at the post office. But tonight was a good night and I've got several packages going out for customer's father's day presents. It's a nice feeling having that much going out at once. I could get use to this. My wallet likes it also.

Select the box and hit "Break apart". This will give you a solid box with a star inside it that's the same color as the box.. You won't be able to see the star because it's the same color at the box. You'll have to go into outline view or change the color of the box to see the star that you made. Then just delete the star it created. You'll be left with a solid box and the original star.
