hey every one I have been using my MH 871-MK2 cutter for about a year now but this morning I turned it on as per usual, and now the blade holder the (usually goes up and down freely and easily ) is now getting stuck it doesn't want to move up or down and is hard to move manually. not really sure what to do but I have orders and wanted to know if any one had a solution?

I am using the SCALP software.

thanks guys the grit rollers were the problem on the last machine so I will check again. also the offset is set at .30 but I move it to .60 like the manual said and it didn't work well either. btw i noticed the last cutter the blade holder would move up and down with no problem quite easily, but with this one the carriage box and the blade holder make this odd crunching noise(if that makes any sense).

hello there every one. this is my first vinyl cutter ever and I have gotten it replaced with a new one since the last one was really not working properly. this time around it seemed to be working well but then I noticed that it was really off. I have an MH 871 - MK2 I spent what little money I had to try and get this ball rolling for me. this is my last chance to make this work. It is not on the stand but it it grounded to the floor. I will attach some photos of what is happening. if any other information is needed please let me know. thank you what is in black is what it should look like straight smooth lines. instead I get this even the stars that should be straight simple lines, do not cut straight I am confused and conflicted. I do not know what else to do.

I have taken the carrier box off and have tightened the screws and such but I am still having this problem. I do not know what to do.

What exactly did you use to tighten the nuts and bolts in the machine? I am having a similar problem, but I cannot seem to get this machine to work.

ok so I set the offset again, but I think its getting worse. this time when I did the test it came out looking like this.

sorry I just looked through my manual, what is the offset? and how should I go about fixing it? also I will try to tighten the allen screws. and yes the wheels are on track

it makes one pass. its not double cutting it. even the origin test cuts are coming out odd. it does the star doesn't connect the final lines and then the square around it one each different pass is a different shape its like the machine is forgetting what exactly it was trying to do.

please ignore the background, I needed to find a place to place them . these are images that came from the software itself and they are supposed to be smooth lines. but my cutter cuts them wobbly and then I feel like the cutter shifts? if that makes any sense. sorry my English is kinda sucks.

WelI have an MH 871-MK2 I didn't want to go ahead and use a whole roll so what I did was cut about 24"x 24" piece of vinyl. so it was not rolled up and I do believe I have already activated SCALP. I used while vinyl so it is kinda hard to see the cut out. and it is dang near impossible to weed with all the silly extra doodles this cutter made. I followed the instructions to the T.also the blade depth after a day and a half of trying is set very well. I even grounded my machine and its on tile floor. I do not know what else to do.

I just got my first Vinyl Cutter and I have never been more proud and happy. only problem is After I took the time to put it together and upload the program and get the driver installed, I cannot for the life of me get this cutter to cut properly! it starts off fine and then starts overlapping and wiggleing and ruining the designs. I am unsure why though. I noticed others have had this problem but I never found out if they were able to fix it. I have project due by the end of this month and I would like to fix this ASAP. if you know what I mean. any and all help will be very much appretiated!
