10.9.2 Sign Cut Pro Ct630 cutter - my suggestion is to NOT go to 10.9. Everything worked great on 10.8 and earlier

Upgraded to Mavericks and had to install new drivers. I used the driver package from this link: http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/VCP.htm I cut one thing successfully and now everything is haywire. SCP sees the device on the output port but it doesn't play well. Last cut attempt was cutting something absolutely random really large. Anyone experience this or working with Mavericks? A better driver package out there possibly? -Paul

.svg is fine, though I recommend to save in .eps for SignCut

I use Inkscape (very easy to learn, plenty of tutorials on the web) with SignCut. $300 for a lifetime key.

Found it in Utilties, but it just opens a terminal window and sits. Any idea how to get this to run with Xquartz? Edit: It works. Carry on

I'm trying to get Inkscape to work on 10.8.2. From what I've found you need to install XQuartz (X11 replacement). I'm having issues with this for some reason. I can't find anything on the Xquartz wiki so I'm asking here: does anyone know where this installs to? I can't find it in my applications. When I try to launch Inkscape it asks to be directed to X11 or something related (Xquartz), but I can't find where it lives. Any help is appreciated, -Paul

On OSX Lion. I have the package, simply need to know where to put it. Version 0.48

Being this is the Inkscape forum - you can probably assume Inkscape?

When trying to save as a .DXF file i get this error: The fantastic lxml wrapper for libxml2 is required by inkex.py and therefore this extension. Please download and install the latest version from http://cheeseshop.python.org/pypi/lxml/, or install it through your package manager by a command like: sudo apt-get install python-lxml Does anyone know where to put the file?

Hello, I just moved SignCut over to a mac, everything cuts fine, but when the cutter moves to the home position it also advances the roll backwards off the center roller - so basically I have to re-load the sheet after ever job. Any idea on where this setting is? This doesn't happen when using my windows machine and I don't remember changing a setting for this. I've looked around in all the settings in SignCut and only found "Rewind after advance." I set this to 0 with no change. Is advance after cut what i should be changing? Thanks, Paul
