I think my Vista is 32 bits.

Since I have a deadline staring right at me, I went back to my old Dell with the LTP1 port, hooked up the ol' copam and cut out the names I needed. I went back through the forum looking for solutions to the no LTP port (my new Dell doesn't have one) and didn't see any information I could use. If you know how to make the USB/serial cable work with my situation please share. I've had my cutter for a couple of years and it has always worked like a charm, paid for itself a dozen times over. I guess I'll just keep the old Dell around for a dedicated computer for the cutter.

I bought a new Dell computer last year that runs Vista. I reinstalled my signcut software, bought a USB/serial cord from Radio Shack. I think I read someone on this forum did the same and got great results. I'm not getting any results with my copam talking to signcut. I installed the cable drivers according to the instructions. I've tried every available com port on my computer. is anyone willing to talk me through this? thanks

I knew that...that info was right in the literature that came with the program... as soon as I read your response I remembered that and why I chose the LE edition. Thanks for responding and reminding me ...when all else fails, read the directions...

I have a COPAM 2500 connected to my computer on LTP1. It is talking to the computer, it has made a successful cut. I need to cut 16 of the same item, simple text, 6.5 x 1.5 inches. In the dialogue box for telling the cutter how many to cut several items are gray (not available) like preview, for instance. I can tell the cutter to cut the number I need but it only cuts one. I am sure I am overlooking something very basic. Would anyone like to point me in the right direction...thanks.

Got my 721 last week. Set it up according to the directions Friday evening. Turned unit on and the carriage moved about a half an inch and stopped. LCD lit up briefly and went dark. No other lights came on. Turned unit off then back on. Nothing happened. Checked unit with voltmeter. Power cord is carrying power to unit, fuse is good but nothing else is happening. :'( Please help
