Have about three hours in this template of a 1988 Monte Carlo SS Dirt Car. I plan on doing a bunch more cars when i get the time. All the stuff on this one is for a local racer that i will be sponsoring next season.

Design looks real good and the lettering is ok. Should have added a yellow outline to the blue line and Car Care Center Exhaust & Brake Specialists. Also a yellow outline to the hammer. But i'll give you props.

Next car will be done tomorrow night and more than likely i will have another one monday night. If plans go right, i'll get really noticed and no time and i must say again, i have waited 10 years for this moment coming.

Wait until you see it put together and for the second car i am doing tonight, the second one is a chevette but it is a really nice looking one.

I have the drivers side door, drivers side quarter and passanger side quarter finished. Just like the number on the passanger side door and then the roof, hood and nose. Hopefully i can get the cutter fixed ASAP so i can finish this and i might give up on graphics after this one and it being my first car. I can't take the aggravation that the cutter has givin me over the pass four days.

Sail Panels!

Cutter works again, yay!!!
-
It was working fine until this morning and now the blade just drags around instead of lifting up like it's suppose to and leaves lines all over the vinyl. I tried adjusting the spring in it but it didn't help anything other than the height of the blade while cutting. I need this fixed asap, in the middle of doing a race car.

Ok so i ordered another motor board from US Cutter, hopefully it will get here by friday since i am on the other side of the US from them. Anyways, as soon as i get this car finished, i have two more cars coming then an enclosed trailer from the local napa store. Let's pray that the cutter doesn't screw up again. I'll have my debts paid off and a tiny bit of pocket money to order more vinyl and work on the race car. I guess the cutter taring up then my monitor burning out was a sign. I actually got the two car garage 80% finished now.

I can't give up cause i can't afford to refund his money for sure but i will not give up either. I have waited around 8 years to get a vinyl cutter and finally got one. In my mind, i need one more than anyone (kind of design crazed). I can do some pretty nice stuff, i just need to get back warmed up to it again cause i had quit for a couple years and started doing 3D Models.

Yeah, that was the first thing i took off to check.
-
The cover off the blade holder? Yes! I'll wait till tomorrow and see what they say from US Cutter then i'll take it apart and check all the wiring.
-
Still the same thing. The blade with jump just a hair but that is it.
-
The blade stopped rising.

Thank god i am only using standard colors. The customer i am doing the race car for has a vinyl cutter also. He might let me finish it with his, dunno though, he's kind of hard to get ahold of sometimes. Either way, i am totally screwed cause that cutter is the only income i have and without it, i cant do anything. Sadly i can't put my race car together or finish my garage now until this thing is either fixed or replaced. Oh well, i still have some of my life left, lol. The real bad thing is, i have 30 more cars lined up to do next month. I am praying that US Cutter will atleast replace parts to fix it. I have only had it for six months, so?
-
Thanks Bigfoot, but like i said in the pm, i just can't afford anything right now. The only income i had was doing stickers and now can't do them either. :'(
-
I cant afford a Graphtec though. I barley could afford this one and if it doesn't get fixed to do a couple more smaller jobs, i'll be royally screwed. Already not gonna get to race this season because of buying the cutter and supplies.
-
Thanks man, i read some where else on here shortly after my post that their tech support is kind of bad. I hope this isn't true! I am in the middle of a $500 race car design that's already been paid for and i can't afford to not finish it.

They can be any where or any size as long as they are visible to the scorers. I am doing the graphics for five modifieds and numbers are all on the doors. I think most people put the number on the quarter panels so that they won't be covering up the door graphics. I also found it easy to make the numbers flow into the design with them being on the doors.
