  1. i'm located in SoCal. What bothers me is that i've ordered many times from UScutter and when i order by Tuesday, I've always received the item by Sat. Which makes me think that the item did not go out on Tuesday as he had promised.
  2. I'm not usually one to complain, but I am so frustrated by this matter that I felt the need to share my story. I ordered a bunch of oracal 631 vinyl on January 26. I received the typical sell-topia email with tracking number the same day and received all but one roll by the end of the week. I called UScutter to see why i did not receive the missing roll and was told that it would be drop shipped from Oracal since they did not have any in stock. I would receive early the next week. Ok. Disappointment #1: It would've been nice if they notified me that the one roll was not being shipped with this original order so that I could plan ahead and not expect it to arrive right away. I waited another week and and still no roll and no notification from ANYONE. I called again and was told that it would usually take a week or so coming from Oracal. Ok. But wait a minute, is that it? I had to ASK for them to track the actual package just to make sure and only THEN was when they told me that the roll is backordered from oracal so it wasn't even shipped from them yet. So i was given the typical we're not sure when they will ship it out since they are probably producing the rolls right now. Ok. BUT wait.. the UScutter website still shows the color in stock. So then i ASK UScutter if they had any in stock now and was told they have 10 in stock. Disappointment #2: You would think that if an you cannot ship your customer an item and need to have the mfg drop ship it, you would keep tabs on the order to make sure it gets delivered. And then if you find out that it is backordered but then realize you now have 10 rolls that came in the previous week, you would quickly ship out the roll you have to the customer and cancel the drop shipment. But all of this HAD to be requested by me. I had a 15 minute discussion on the phone with "the manager" at UScutter to why I thought they should ship me one of the in stock rolls right away (using overnight shipping) since I've been waiting for over 2 1/2 weeks for this item. The manager kept saying that this is a flaw in their system and the best he could do was send it out on Feb 9th via via ground shipping (overnight shipping was too expensive for them) and that i would receive it by Saturday. I told him that I really needed sooner, and that UScutter really dropped the ball on this one so they should at least take some responsibility. I was told its not their fault so he will ship out on the 9th and i would have it by the 13th. Ok fine. Disappointment #3: Saturday comes and goes and i STILL do not have the vinyl roll. I've run out of my last roll of this vinyl and have orders piling up that I cannot fulfill. I am EXTREMELY frustrated by this experience i've had with UScutter and felt that I needed to voice my opinion. I was/am using UScutter for most of my supply needs but now this is making me reconsider. When I get a complaint from one of MY customers, I do EVERYTHING in my power to get it right. If it is even remotely my fault, I will take responsibility and eat any costs to make the customer satisfied. I've noticed that after reading a few posts here that this is NOT the case with UScutter.

3" standard core plugs laying around..

Yeah that free delivery confirmation and the discount kinda makes up for the paypal fee. Heck, even on non-priorioty mail, it's only $0.18 cents for the delivery confirmation. Just received in the mail! Thanks John!

  6. I'm looking for some of those 3" standard roll core plugs that most of us just throw out. Need them to make my custom vinyl storage rack. Anyone have some laying around that they don't want anymore? If your in socal, I'll pick up or if you are further away, I'll pay for you to ship them to me. Need about 20 of them. Thanks!

    Blade holder

Does anyone know if a Roland blade holder will work on the Copams? Since they use compatible blades, as long as the diameter of the holder will fit in the copam machine it would work right?

    Media basket for Copam?

i've seen a nice media basket called the Art-Cart for $198 (28") at my local sign shop. looks like this (http://www.weedersheeter.com/productinfo/index.htm) but in my opinion, fabricating one yourself would be a lot cheaper and just as good. you can customize a metal wire rack shelf system (metro racks) and just get some fabric to put on it.
  9. I've seen many threads about this, but none that were answered. Is it possible to use a wireless usb print server with the copam cutters? (cp-2500 in particular?) if not, then what about parallel port wireless print servers? TIA.
  10. First let me say that this is such a great discussion board. I've been browsing through these topics for hours a day.. An overwhelming amount of useful info! Hopefully i'll be cutting vinyl by the end of the week! My question is, i've seen a few wall art pieces online that are of trees with a different collor leaf. (or basically large designs using two colors) i've seen the multi layering process youtube video and i understand how this is done for a small logo. however for larger graphics, lets say a 24" x 30" tree, i could place the different colored leaf where ever i choose. now when all is said and done, I'm thinking that i need one new backing paper to cover the entire graphic so that i can roll up and ship away. Is this correct? And if so, what would you use for the backing paper? I've seen posts where some of you use freezer paper, or wax butcher paper (is this the general consensus?) The final shipped product would be the transfer paper with the composed vinyls over the wax butcher paper (ready to be applied). can someone tell me if my steps above are wrong or right? i've attached an image of the type of graphic i'm talking about.
  11. Hi, I'm looking for an affordable vinyl cutter and had my eyes set on the Laserpoint 48, but read on the forums that this does not have a cross cutting feature and so the vinyl needs to be manually cut with a blade or scissors once the vinyl cutting operation is complete. Are there any comparable cutters that have this function built in so that at the press of a button it will cut the sheet off? TIA.
