  1. X3 or X4 will work fine for you. If you are using Windows 7 ... X5 or X6 may be the better choice. Sue2

    Frankenstorm ---- who's scared?

OMG Dan....YOU KEEP THAT STUFF! It's too close for my comfort! You be careful...shoveling that kind of snow can kill. October is WAY too early for that kind of nasty weather. We were blessed here with just 6" of rain spread out nicely. Sue2
  4. Well, okay, you can stay. ;-) Let's just get this fixed...that is a BIG drawback. Sue2

    Sure Cuts A Lot Pro

Great question...I would hope so. Sue2
  6. Really, a patch??? You're not kidding? Somehow they missed the fact that MOST vector files we use are eps??? Unbelievable! Fire the guy who blew that one! Sue2
  7. Yes...BIG drawback, if it doesn't import/open both older AND newer eps files it isn't much better than SB at this time.... AND it costs $50 more right now! (or $200 after the special) Really, I can't imagine a program that retails for $200 NOT being able to open major vector files. It doesn't make sense....there must be something we are missing. Sue2
  8. Eric, the Vector Doctor, is really good, fast AND reasonable. Sue2

Just out of curiosity....has anyone else gotten their SCAL-P program up and working??? Sure hope you guys get this sorted out before the $50 special goes off! or maybe that's the answer... for another $150 you'll get one that really works. Sue2
  10. It's going to lose a lot in one color. Printed would be the way to go...this file was not made for cutting. Even though it is an eps...there are outlines plus fills all through it that have to be welded before it would be cut-ready. Or you could send it out to have it fixed....depends on how many you need and how much you want to pay. Sue2

    Here it is... Sue2 4-H.eps
  12. What do you need? It is already a vector..... could use a bit of tweaking but it is cuttable. You just have to decide how many colors you want to cut. BUT, maybe printing would be a better option. Sue2 uak.eps

    Inkjet printer advice

Yes, the LPII should be able to contour cut if your file and registration marks are correct. But, now you're back to dealing with someone elses timeframe and not being able to control the output.... Believe me, even when you have your own equipment the results don't always look like what you had in mind. You sometimes have to stop, adjust, re-print and re-cut. You need to re-evaluate how important turn time and control really are to you. Maybe rather than cutting back on your production time you need to adjust your customer's expected delivery time. Explain it as a QUALITY issue. Alternately, find another print/cut partner that can work within your timeframe. There are plenty of reliable individuals on this forum who can provide what you need. Good luck, Sue2

For design I use Corel. For cutting I use SB. Sue2

It would be wise to switch.... SB is already obsolete in some aspects in that it cannot open newer eps files. Since SB has not been upgraded in many years there will be more and more glitches as time goes by and equipment gets more sophisticated. Not to mention that it may not work with the newer Windows upgrades. I plan to try SCAL...you can never have too many tools, computer programs or clipart! Not to mention $50 is a steal! Sue2

    Frankenstorm ---- who's scared?

Morning all! Tuesday AM...5.5" rain total so far...no snow. Creeks are high & threatening to go over the roads. Power is still on...only blinked off a few times last night. Winds weren't that bad....have been through worse. Expecting another 1" of rain along with 45 mph winds thru to 2 pm or so today. So far much better than the predictions. I can't believe that all but one of the area TV station spent continual hours and hours all afternoon and night reporting on "The Storm". Sue2 About 70 miles due west of DC.

    Frankenstorm ---- who's scared?

At 8 AM Monday here at the very tip top of Virginia it's just drizzling with a slight breeze. All public schools have been closed and gov't offices in DC. Weather forcasters here are calling for 2-6" of rain and high gusts of wind. So the power will probably be out .... but for how long? I'm at work now...but at the first sign of nasty weather, I'm out of here! Rather be trapped at home than at work........................ Our neighbors to the west in WV are going to be gifted with 12" or more of snow! Sue2
  22. Does the SureCutsALot program work with the original LaserPoint cutters? I see the LaserPoint II listed in supported cutters a but not LaserPoint or the Creation Pcuts. Sue2
  23. Thanks...I didn't read the little print! Sue2
