    Craigs List Vinyl Racks,

I hate the City. I kept losing my GPS signal with the tall buildings and not to mention Where she was at, was along one side of her building that ran along the elevated L Tracks so NO signal under all that Metal. Investment in future growth. (Hopefully) Both can be taken apart so I will store one until needed. And Thanks

    Craigs List Vinyl Racks,

I picked both racks up this morning. The one in the pic that has $75.00 next to it, is like the 44 roll rack I bought, but it is actually a 33 roll rack like she stated. Only 3 rolls wide compared to 4 wide. Very Happy with them both for $100.00, I think my future storage needs are met now, with room for 93 more rolls. Both racks are still in my van, it's only 11 degrees out there today. I'll bring them in later if it warms up some. I did not go up and look at the vinyl she had as she was keeping most of it and I would have had to go park my van in a parking garage downtown and Pay to park. Suburban born and raised here, we don't Pay to park! lol

    Craigs List Vinyl Racks,

The 44 roll rack I originally bought will be full this Tuesday when the 6 rolls I ordered locally arrive, of more Oracal 651. Gonna fill up the other one with 751 as needed. And the double sided rack I will use for all other vinyls I will collect over time. Should be enough racks for a fully functioning sign shop . I need a small wall rack for my app tapes hung on the wall at my work table. I have seen double sided racks like this online but now of course can't find anyone who has them. They were pretty costly if I remember correctly. She is also selling a midwest bag sealer mp-18, gerber gsx plus 15" plotter, gerber edge thermal printer (its broke for parts but at $500.00 no thanks as she claims it can be repaired for 2 grand),Has a damaged printhead which creates a thin white line through the bottom portion of your prints.
  7. Sorry you got BIT. I will Always REQUIER at least a 50% deposit, more if needed to cover material costs. I made myself a little reminder sign too.

    Clearcoating over vinyl

I know Yamaha has used vinyl striping and lettering on their tanks and fenders then clear coats over them. They have been doing it for years. Other motorcycle companies do it too. I have 2 Yamaha V-Twin Viragos, I have also bought a few tanks and fender sets so I can swap out a bikes color at will, they all have clear coated vinyl. Urethane paints and clears are used. Not sure what vinyl they use, best to experiment.

  17. I mean No offence to you, But, you really have No business touching a car like this. You are not Qualified. You are Not covered with proper Insurance coverage should Anything go wrong. Sign shops carry 1-5 Million and UP insurance policies, that are business policies to cover their butts. Your homeowners or your auto insurance will NOT cover you. You don't know how to go about installing this. You should be Confident in your application method wet or dry. Your install methods should be second nature to you, not, hey any suggestions on how to install a simple graphic on a ohhh $200,000.00 car? Trust me, You screw up and that stereo shop won't even know who you are let alone cover you. In all likelyhood you won't have a problem, but IF you do, you will be the one to Pay to FIX it. Call some Local sign shops and get a price from them to do this, then see if you can get a finders fee or something. Then get some Practice in on some Chevys and Hondas. Scratch the paint with a squeegee, even a Felt one or walking from one side to the other and trip or drop something that hits the car and chips the paint and you are in DEEP. It would be an Awsome project and a Good portfolio piece, but it sure sounds like you Need to get alot more Experience under your belt before trying this one. IMO. You better get on youtube and start watching vids. Then go Practice some installs on your own car awhile. (I haven't even mentioned that that graphic is most likely Copyrighted.) Wow, A+P, 6 months in the business and you are a old pro already. Why don't you leave the long-winded holier-than-thou diatribes at S101? We are here to give helpful advice and "You have no business touching this" and "You are not qualified" is not helpful, at all. Never have I ever claimed to be mid waste. Again, never said anything about being what you claim as "holier-than-thou". I gave sound advice, in an informative manner. The OP's questions gave me and others the impression that he has little experience. If the OP had stated he had a full auto/truck Wrap I would give him basically the same sound advice to pass it along to an experienced shop/installer, and take your cut for getting the job. No harm no foul in that, jobs are Subbed out all the time. No shame in it either. It makes perfect business sence to do so. He gets all the alcolades without any of the Risks. And can do jobs more in his comfort zone, gaining the experience to move on to jobs that have a higher risk factor if anything went wrong with them. At least by then he would have more installation experience under his belt. (Less Risks) A few others were giving the same type of advice, I would hate to see an inexperienced person (myself included) take on a job that if something went wrong and Damage was done it could you Ruin you financially. (Sound advice IMO) How is giving that type of advice a bad thing? Because you would recklessly take on a job with no experience or care about the risks involved should something go wrong?

No, rodger. And again No Rodger, I paid their Full Retail Pricing. IF, I wanted to "bag it myself" to save money rodger, I would have bought Direct from Here> http://www.tlindostore.com/category.php?id_category=11 Notice the "USCutter Laserpoint Vinyl cutter" is $220.00, and the "USCutter 24-25 Vinyl cutter" is $210.00, That is Closer too Wholesale pricing rodger. http://www.tlindostore.com/product.php?id_product=115 http://www.tlindostore.com/product.php?id_product=114 Notice that if you buy 15 laser units they take another 30% off, THAT's getting Close to, "Wholesale Pricing" rodger. Bringing the laser unit down too> $154.00 each. Also Notice rodger the 24-25" USC Model buying 5 units gets you 30% off the $210.00 price. Bringing it down too> $147.00 each. These are Closer to Wholesale Pricing for these units rodger. I am pretty sure if you negotiate larger quantities you can get an even larger Discount. This isn't some highly guarded Secret website, I found it Months ago doing a simple Google search. Maybe you need some lessons on Wholesale and Retail pricing rodger.
  20. I can't answer that one, I am not a Lawyer, nor have I ever played one on TV. Subbing out work is done All the time. A shop that don't do complete car wraps, will take the job, design it, price it, then sub out the printing (if they don't have the wide printer needed) and sub out the install, or both to a shop they have worked out Wholesale pricing with in advance, that does them. They make some money and you do. This looks to be a Simple job, but that one in a million chance and not being properly covered could hurt you for a Long time. Be careful and I wish you the best with it.

  22. The MSRP on that car was $180,050.00-$217,300.00. And used ones can actually sell for More than a brand New one. You BETTER have PROPER INSURANCE to cover your butt should Anything go Wrong. You Don't get an Earl Shieb paint job as a fix on one of those. You don't even know what kind of vinyl should be used on autos let alone a car like this, a simple graphic yes, but one Tiny mistake could cost YOU a heck of ALOT. I suggest you cut a few dozen graphics and Practice installing them on your own car over and over. I was a body and fender man/Auto Painter for many years, and still would be a little nervous, even though the shop would have had the coverage needed. How much is your home worth equity wise? Be Careful, and Good luck.

    Damaged Cutter

My side cover on a MH871 came Cracked as well. Purchased New Direct from the website. They made me feel like I should just live with it. One of my rollers was missing the bearing end piece, they actually sent that out right away, and I had thought, Cool a company who cares. - NOT! A Store Credit I was to recieve for a Missing roll of Vinyl I bought with cutter never happened, even after I called and asked how do I get the store credit for my second order,($662.00 worth of Oracal 651 and some tools) they told me what to do, I did it Exactly as told, and the Credit was still Not applied to my order. I was then told they would Double the store credit on my NEXT order. I walked away from this kinda BS treatment of a Customer and bought SEVERAL Thousands of Dollars of more materials and equipment from other vendors who treat their customers with Respect and Honor what they Say they will do. A plastic side cover, what 5 bucks of plastic TOPS, and a 10.00 store credit not recieved (then told it would be 20.00) has cost them at the very least another $5,000.00-$6,000.00 in sales from me alone. I, the Customer, Refuse to be mistreated, when there are so many other options out there, and vendors basically begging for My business. And I will be making some purchases in the near future in the 10's of Thousands of Dollars. Hopefully they will Learn that the quick one time sale without Proper Customer Service Will lead to future sales going Elsewhere. I am now Totally Happy with other vendors that do not have "policies" in place that cost me out of pocket expences to get under Warranty Services. If I Can't Trust a Company to get a promised $10.00 store credit, and have to Pay upfront out of My pocket for Under Warranty Parts, then send back the Bad parts to get Reimbursment for them, how can I Trust that I will actually get that reimbursment without a Hassle? I am a Loyal Customer, UNTIL, I feel I am being taken advantage of.

What do you use your Wacom Tablet for?

Originally I bought mine for Photoshop use a few years ago. http://www.photoshopsupport.com/tools/wacom-intuos3-6x11.html http://www.wacom.com/industries/graphicdesign.php I have the Mouse, Grip Pen, Airbrush Pen, and the 6D Art Pen. I use the mouse and tablet for everything you would use a normal mouse and mouse pad for. I use the Pens for far more drawing Control, after you get used to it, it's like drawing with a pencil on paper. The other pens have there place for certain types of work. The different models have different sensitivity associated with pen tip pressures. (thick to thin lines as you draw) Intuos3 has 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity Senses both the angle and direction of pen tilt. I will be upgrading to the Cintiq 21UK. < You draw right on the screen with the Cintiqs. And the price has come down about a grand for it, I think they were 3G's when they came out. https://direct.wacom.com/stores/5/Cintiq_21UX_P1511C141.cfm I Love my Wacom.
