    4' x 8' aluminum sign

Nice work congrats on the sales, sounds like your busy. Congrats on the new Graphtac too, you won't be sorry, Beacon was great to work with. I hope you don't mind , I Played with these in Flexi just for some Practice, without talking to the clients it's hard to tell whats most important to them, and hard to tell what "and more" really means for each store, so I took liberties with my interpretation. My fish are Salt Water fish, but I had them and this is only some Practice for me. Not sure of the significance of the Pelican is for a Ceramic shop but I included one. It was Fun to work on these, again I hope you don't mind I was just playing in flexi trying out different stuff. Heres what I came up with. Mine are by No means good, just Different.

    Class Action Lawsuit?

Well maybe he can still read this, Jimmy, a class action law suit is a Waste of time, EXCEPT for the Lawyers, they get their FEES for fighting it First, then whats left goes out to the people who were wronged to begin with and by then you end up with a $2.39 check. I have been involved in a few, Not by me starting them, just being contacted by the law office stating I may be eligable. The lawyers get Thousands of dollars in Fees then divy the left overs out to everyone that signed on, involved in 3 or 4 and only got a few bucks out of each one. IF you want to get some real results, I suggest you Contact the Attorney Generals Office, in the state the company is in, that actually has some backbone on getting things Done and done Fairly. I had to do this once with Gateway Computers and boy did Gateways attitude change real Quick, in fact a brand New computer of MY choosing was Overnighted to me with multiple appologies from the higher ups at Gateway. They dicked me around for a year sending out parts that I had to change out with Tech support, even though I had paid for In Home Tech Service. It was a Lemon computer from day 1. I called the A.G.'s Office and they called me back the following day, I explained what was going on and faxed over all my Documentation, I was told if I did not hear from Gateway within 48 hours to call her back as she (the A.G.) had already called Gateway, within 2 hours Gateway was calling me, I was then told to go onto Gateways website and Choose ANY brand new computer I wanted, I said I only want what I paid for, again I was told to please choose ANY computer I wanted as a replacement and all warranties would begin a new. I ended up with a New computer that was about 3X's the cost of the one I originally bought and the very next day it was on my doorstep and Gateway was calling me to help hook it all up. They were Very Apologetic (sp) After I made that call too the Attorney Generals Office in their State. And once made after fighting with them(Gateway) for over a year, things got DONE and all within a total of 48 hours. And did not cost me one red cent either. There are ways to Fight Back, Effectively, you just gotta do the research. After all was taken care of, I called and Thanked the Attorney General for all her help and the case was then closed. Another example, Wife wanted a New car, she heard great things about the Hyundai, they had just started selling in the U.S. at the time, on Christmas Eve I told her lets go for a ride, not telling here to where. I pull into the Dealer and say lets look at these (I am a Not a fan of foreign cars at all myself.) so I told her pick one, anyone you want as long as it's fully loaded I am not gonna drive it without power windows locks seats AC sunroof ect. She picked a Red one and drove it home Christmas Eve, all maintenance was done at the Dealer about 1 1/2 years later she is driving it down the highway, pregnant and with 2 kids in the car. As she is driving at 55-65 mph on the highway she notices the Hood in the Center starts to change colors and then looses power, pulls over, and by the time she getsa to a full stop, Flames are shooting out of the front end, by the time she gets the 2 kids out of the back seat and starts to walk away from the car on the side of the highway she looks back and the car is Totally engulfed in Flames, that car burned to the ground there was nothing but a shell left by the time the fire dept. arrived. Anyways they Lost their Value so Fast back then that the car wasn't even worth what was owed on it by Allstates figures, WE were gonna OWE on a car that was Totalled by Fire. I did some investigating and found the President of Hyundai's Home Address, and wrote him a letter directly. A week later HE personally contacted me by phone and Hyundai paid off the rest of the payments I would have been Stuck with. I had to agree to sign a waiver Not to sue them, I signed as all I wanted was what I Paid for. A Month Later Hyundai announce a major Recall on that model, they had Faulty Gas Lines that ran right over the the top of the Exhaust Manifold and the cracked and Leaked right onto it causing the cars to Suddenly Burst into Flames. I Missed out on a lawsuit that could have netted us a nice some, but all I really wanted was to get it paid off and go buy an American car, needless to say that was my one and Only foriegn car. And I think the experience swayed my wife from ever suggesting she wanted another one, she now drives a fully loaded Warner Bros. Edition Chevy Venture Mini Van. If you truely feel you were wronged by Any company and have documentation to back up your claims, Don't hesitate to Call the Attorney Generals Office in the State that that company is located in. They Will Fight for Your Rights.

From the real world to the cutter and back. :)

I believe someone here has posted about this subject and does it for a wheel shop and did it for his own wheels first. But I see you list FlexiSIGN Pro. So in Flexi (at least in my version 8.6v2) you have a "Resize" I also have the version 8 training DVD. In that dvd he shows you the Resize or Relative Resizing capabilities. He opens a picture of a white van a side shot straight on. Places a Star and some Text on it. When you take the pic of say this van you take a few measurements , the longer the better as it will be more accurate. Place a thin rectangle at the Exact measuring points you used on the van (in this case he measured from the seam between the front passanger door and the front edge of the sliding door back to the outside edge or the rear tailight.) Lets say it's 8 feet. On the pic look at the real size of the graphics in the Design Central box it should be pretty small, like 5"x2", Not gonna work cutting them at that size soooo, What needs to be done, a Resize, a Relative Resize. Zoom in on the long thin rectangle you made and make Sure each end is exactly were they should be start and end. (Bear with me here, I am trying to watch the video segment and explain what he is doing.) Be as Precise as you can with that line you created. While that line(thin long rectangle you made) is selected , go to Arrange, down to Resize. Click Resize. Now in Design Central it will now allow you to Resize the length of that little rectangle you made. It may be showing it as 4 inches long, Manually type in the REAL Length, Our 8 Feet I said earlier, Now Proportional should already be Checked, Put a Check in the "Apply scale to all" CLICK APPLY BOX! That will Resize everything RELATIVE to the 8 foot line we made. Pic will get Huge, click on the "Zoom all objects to page " button looks like a magnifying glass with green and orange color in it, that brings the image to full view again. Now everything is Resized to scale. Measure say the side window in the sliding door for Example, and say it is 3 feet, draw a thin rectangle again from front to back on that side glass and SEE if it Registers at the 3 feet that that window should be in real life. Now you can use all the Measuring Tools and start checking sizes as needed. Kinda cool those tools show the size between the new line as "34.84" inches. So everything should be showing as actual real sizes. Will it be accurate with just a wheel pic, I don't know, but I gave you the steps to find out, read the help files on Arrange and Resize to get more help. Play with it awhile until you are comfortable and see how it goes. Hope that helps you some. Post pics if you get it.

Cutter will not cut longer then 65 inches

Might help you to list the cutter you have, the software you are using, and maybe even post the file for others to have a look at. Fill out your Signature with the basic info like mine is done and then everyone knows what your using. And you won't have to type it out with each post./

Call your Local suppliers and talk with them, see what substrates they carry and costs and talk with your client. Engraving Bridge for MH-721

Somewhere online I saw a cutter that was retrofitted with the white wire closet shelving type stuff you can get at any homecenter/hardware store. They had a wire self on each side of the cutter mounted Level and used other accessory parts to the closet system to mount them to the stand of the cutter. Not sure if that will help you or not.

My Sistine Chapel Project: How about a vinyl ceiling design?

Point out some of the stuff you like on that site then we can help you find it. Schram is the one who this stuff is right up his ally and could give you Alot more info. Search his threads and see what you come up with as well. He'd get some Books that came with CD's that I think this type of stuff in them. (with recent happenings I am in NO way recommending that you deal with him business wise, Enter that arena AT YOUR OWN RISK. is all I can say.)

My Sistine Chapel Project: How about a vinyl ceiling design?

Have a look around here.> http://www.modellodesigns.com/ Editing to say- You might want to try some wall papers, wall paper borders, or printing vinyl with a mix of cut vinyl. Use Oracals 631. They have added more colors recently. OR you can cut out patterns (masks) and use Paints.

    Plexiglass signs

It really should be fairly easy enough, run over to the local Hardware ask them for a few scraps and practice a few. You can do it.

    Plexiglass signs

I was gonna suggest that as well Jay. We used to heat and bend Plexi back in High School shop, But we had a tool that was made to do it.(LONG time ago I forget exactly just what it was) It did not melt and distort the outside before the center inside was pliable enough. smithmotorsports99, You could Try a good Heat Gun and a piece of Copper pipe close to the diamiter of the bend needed, go slow heating evenly across the length, take your time not to just melt the outside. OR- You could Maybe place app tape on his Originals and heat the plexi across the area you want to bend then place it ON the original to use as a "Mold", that should give you a very close replication.

    Plexiglass signs

Sorry I can't help with a source for those Exact ones. But, you can easily make something like them. You can buy Plexi or Lexon at any Hardware or Homecenter, get it cut to size, and then you can Arch the top at home. Place some paper App tape on them if the factory protective tape has been removed. Draw your Arch, then use a Jigsaw with a Fine toothed blade and cut it. Lightly sand with Fine Sandpaper just the edge, left like that will look frosted, you can Buff the edge with a buffing wheel and rouge compounds to polish it clear again. You can get the buffing wheel and rouges at the same hardware /homecenter, even Sears carries them. Make a wood stand by slicing through the center of a 2x4 on edge to make a groove just as wide as the plexi you bought deep enough to set it into.(1/3-1/2 way down) Add a couple cross braces so it is Stable. Stain it with a wipe on stain and poly mix. Hope that gives you some Ideas if you can't locate them.

A Very WISE choice to KEEP this wider Graphtec. Congrats. Great Machines they are. Dump the refine for as much as you can get for it on craigs list and Never look back. Plus you'll Need it with that wide printer. You will be able to take on about any job that comes your way.
  20. Jeremy, that was back in December on Craigs List, I don't have a link and haven't seen it listed for quite some time, he must have sold the other stuff by now. Once I picked up what I was buying the piece of scratch paper with his name address and phone # was tossed in the trash. Sorry.

    Behave yourself,folks

Hold tight John. Got some supplies? If not go out now and get some Candles, Batteries, Canned Goods, Water. whatever you might need. Bought our house about 20 years ago, it's the exact Middle house on the block. The Electric GRID Begins and Ends and another starts on the pole on in the back corner on my lot. Never failed every single little storm our house lost power, houses around our 1 block were all still lit up, always pissed me off. I was at Home Depot one day several years ago and they had 6250 Watt Generators on a screaming deal Sale so I nabbed one, I Never sit in the dark anymore. Large enough to run the fridge, a few lights, the furnace fan in the natural gas forced air furnace, the TV, and my computer. About 2-3 years after I bought it Com Ed did some grid work and now we don't go out as often, but when we do, I pull the Generator out and still live in relative comfort, in summer I loose the central AC. But I can at least run a fan until powers restored. Well worth having even a small one on hand, one that can at least run the fridge for awhile then unplug it and run something else, can save alotta food in the fridge/freezer, and give you some lights. Hang Tough, hopefully it passes you by.

    Craigs List Vinyl Racks,

I was just searching craigs list and found these two vinyl racks for a Screaming Deal! I already bought the 44 roll rack shown from Signwarehouse awhile ago for $175.00 plus about $40.00 to ship it. Both of these for $100.00 ! Sellers Description> Two vinyl (PSV) racks One double sided, holds 60 rolls of 15" to 30" vinyl.............$50 One single sided, holds 33 rolls of 15" to 48" vinyl................$75 I asked the woman if both racks were as pictured, she said Yes, so the one listed at 33 rolls should be 44. We shall see in the morning once I get there. She did not have any vinyl listed but said she had 60-70 rolls that she might get rid of.
