    Vinyl on wood

The fire department has a large picnic table that they just built using new wood. It's unfinished and they plan to coat it with an epoxy and keep it outside under a shelter. They are wanting me to put some vinyl graphics on it before they seal it. I'm worried that the vinyl will not last on bare wood even with the epoxy over it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I do not have a printer, just a cutter.
  2. Most of my Christmas sales for etching came from my personal Facebook page or as a result of mouth because of it. I paid Facebook to put an ad in peoples feed on their Facebook page. I've done quite a few $15-30 adds
  3. The last few fb ads I've done average around $.30 per like. I would pay that all day long.

    signs onto cone shaped items

Another method is to wrap your item in paper and trim off the excess top and bottom. That will give you your total area of the bucket with the curves on top and bottom. Scan that and your good to go.
  5. I hate that stupid thing, try navigating their site on a tablet. Absolutely frustrating.

    Getting started with etching

I started with the harbor freight air eraser. The compound that came with it was junk but after I bought some locally I've had no problem. Glad I bought it. I still use it to do ornaments with.

    All This Talk About Etching....

I've been using the plastic T-shirt bags from Walmart to wrap them with. I use some old vinyl for my stencil. Nice looking Glass BTW.
  8. I can't compare with mine as I'm not at work, but from what I see everything looks good in your settings.

    New from St.Louis!

I started in the print industry back in 1998 and ended up recently taking over possession of a print shop. I added a vinyl cutter a few months ago and haven't regretted it once. Your graphic design I knowledge will help out a lot. I just stuck with illustrator as I use it quite a bit on the print did of things. The great thing about being a printer is that a lot of your customers also will need signs.

Bad vector job or vinyl cutter tracking?

I can't see the file as I'm on my tablet. Does the error repeat if you rotate the image 180 degrees

Another Vinyl Business opened up in my area.

To sum it up, an EDDM is a mailing that you pick out any particular routs or po boxes and mail to everyone on that route. I do this all the time for customers as I am a print shop and it can be successful. The minimum amount you can do is 200. If your looking to mail primarily to businesses, select the downtown routes and po boxes.

If your looking for advertising, a good cheap way is to do an eddm mailing. 16 cents per piece plus printing is a cheap way to go. I tend to keep the total price under the cost of a stamp.
