  2. Used the channels to strengthen the lines and the burn and dodge tools to tidy it up.

As I mentioned, it's been a while back but, probably could have redrawn it just as quickly.

How hard is it to learn the Wacom Intuos 3? and which one do you have I see they have a wide variety small, medium etc,..

  3. However, to effeciently arrive at my results, the important work is done in a raster-based program such as

Photoshop, Gimp, or Corel. Here, once agin, knowledge of pixel based software is needed.

This is what I am missing and will be going to local college to help me out... Adobe Illustrator..

My little contribution to this awesome forum... Here is how I have been doing vectors Not sure if its the right way..But, its helped me out..  I can probably just do it all in Illustrator just need to mess around more with it.

  4. Is your blade holder down in the carriage head good and firm?  You should set your blade depth like this below..  Make sure nothing in carriage head track,  carriage head firmly in track.  Cutting strip down all the way across.

To start with, you should set your blade depth correctly, by taking the blade holder out of the machine, and firmly cut across a piece of scrap vinyl, you will be cutting. You should only be cutting the vinyl and barely a mark on wax paper backing, Adjust blade to get there, Then put the blade holder back in machine, and use the force of the machine to get there, same results, only cutting the vinyl and barely a mark in wax paper backing.

Can you explain a little more in-dept, I just noticed my plunger/blade was not completely on right and when I went to adjust it.  I started getting the above uneven cuts.  On one side it cuts thru the paper and the other side not enough.

Mine was sitting like this and working fine..  Now it not.

  5. I am an ebay seller and also do local work for some friends, but I've been in the vinyl business for years! My vinyl of choice is Oracal 651, due to it's decent lifespan and great price. I've been experiencing some issues lately with the backing sticking terribly bad and ripping (sticking to the vinyl). I ship ALL of my orders from ebay and my customer's are having some true difficulties trying to get the backing off. This problem just caused me to get a NEGative feedback on Ebay (tarnishing my perfect 100% score) and I had to refund $100+ even though I cut, packed and shipped the decals to the customer next day.

I know other people are having this problem and I just want to know what to do. I'm seriously thinking about just giving ebay up, because I can't ship everything twice and still get negative feedback and having to refund money. It's killing me time and money wise....

**I live in a humid area, with lots of heat**

**The problem has only come to fruition within the past month or so (May-June)**

**I also re-calibrated the height and cutting pressure on my (USCutter SC25) so that the backing isn't cut at all**

Has anyone else had these problems? IF so, with what vinyls/tapes, etc. and

how the heck do I prevent it and help my customers with installation when they

are trying to install in a humid environment, with little to no vinyl application skills???

All help/comments are appreciated and desperately needed!!!

use to happen to me.. I use the Conform 4075-RLA and Oracal 651 works pretty good.

  6. The CE6000-60  is only about 3 weeks old and I just noticed this problem today.  I also just started playing around with VinylMaster Pro a few days ago also.

I first noticed it using VMP’s built in registration marks which are 2 diamonds crossed with the cut lines intersecting.  It seems as though all the corners pointing in the same direction are lifted. I also noticed the issue when I was cutting some text also today. I readjusted the blade, force and slowed the cutter down and I was able to clear up the issue with the text but no matter what setting the registration marks still get lifted

I followed all the tips on here about setting the blade depth and I am fairly certain it is set correct I might actually have it set too light because I am now having some weeding issues.

I am currently using Oracal 651 and as of my last test I was at

    Force -12

    Speed-5

The cutting strip looks good also

I never used a vinyl cutter until 3 weeks ago so there might be a setting I am missing or just plan doing something wrong.

Any suggestions what to try next. I spent the last few hours trying different settings, blade depths etc. The thing is it is really only happening with VMP's built in reregistration marks but it is bothering me that it is not cutting correctly. It is probably my OCD

Could it be VinylMaster Pro. ?

Out of the box these are my settings and I cut both Oracal 651 and ThermoFlex without changing anything.
