This is a design that was sent to me but I can work on it in illustrator. Can I convert to curves in that? or convert to object?

I need help. I am doing a sign for my PTA and they have an orange outline around the letters of the sign. When I bring them into SCALP it seems to have dropped the outline or it is so tiny I can't see it. I have tried with a svg, eps, pdf,ai, etc. They all did the same thing. I am trying to cut paper with my LaserPoint and needing to figure out how to weed it. I tried to cut something and it just cut through the picture. I am sure it is jsut how to set the weeding but I don't understand the weeding settings. I also have a need to cut the plastic for stencils. Does anyone have experience with cutting paper and other materials? What settings do I need to use. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to cut a small project and my laserpoint cutter is just stopping mid project. I am using Signblazer. I hook it up to my laptop with a usb cable. It will cut a bit and then stop. I will turn it off and back on and move the starting point and start it again and it will stop every single time and the machine will say "waiting". Sometimes it will get a whole line in and some times one letter. It is very weird. I have been using this without any problems for over a year. I recently got a new laptop and had to reinstall Signblazer so I don't know if it is a sign blazer problem(maybe I haven't set it up right?) or a laserpoint problem, but I have a big job due this weekend and a machine that is not working!! Any help would be much appreciated!

I believe the other ones are fonts. I think the Mary Joseph and baby are a font that I have from lettering delights called DB Nativity. I am not possitive but it looks similar. I can't figure out how to use it with sign blazer so I use SL christmas silhouette. You should be able to google that one.

I can't remember where I found it but I will attempt to post it here. I am still trying to figure out how to do that. I think I got it though. I sent it as an eps. christmas_shepherds_3.eps christmas_shepherds_3.eps

Hmm I set the weed all to 3 and still it kicks off the star. What am I doing wrong that you are not doing?

I am wondering if it is that I am mixing the dingbats with a eps picture. I didn't think that would matter, but the picture that is getting thrown is the eps file. The piece I am trying to cut is actually only 20" long and my vinyl is 24". The only thing that seems to be the problem is the eps file.

Vinyl width is set to 24.8 so I think that should be good.

I am trying to cut a string of dingbats that is almost the same length as the width of my vinyl. It is definately not longer, but when I send it to cut, it cuts one of the pictures off and sends it to its own tile. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Can anyone help?
