I'm assuming you're talking about inkjet (waterbased) printer and not the $25k solvent printer put out by the companies. Search the forum, there are plenty of threads on the topic already. Here's one of them http://forum.uscutter.com/index.php/topic,26780.0.html

Try http://www.silkscreeningsupplies.com/ They'll be cheaper than your local craft stores. You can get some of the items at a craft store.

Will SignBlazer Elements integrate with Illustrator CS5
hockeygirl replied to dornon13's topic in SignBlazer
Not with SignBlazer. SB does not have a plug-in available. -

Susie: I think what you ordered is this: http://www.uscutter.com/Graphtec-Quickutz-Silhouette-SD-Craft-Cutter-formerly-CraftROBO_p_1287.html + a few rolls of vinyl -

Susie, US Cutter does not bundle the machine with any additional software, but the cutter itself, should contain Graphtec's own cutting software in the box. Unless US Cutter decides to take out the cutter and sell it by itself without the included accessories that is packaged with the cutter, but I don't see them doing that. Here's the link to Graphtec's page about this cutter (the craft robo is the same cutter as the silhouette) http://www.craftrobostore.com/craftrobo.html The package includes: -

You can also download SignBlazer (which is free) and use it. I don't use the software so I don't know if the Silhouette or Craft Robo is in the list of supported cutter. Perhaps someone else can help with that one. -

If you have corel draw or adobe illustrator you can download the plug-in (Cutting Master) from graphtec for that cutter to cut directly from those softwares. I believe it comes with ROBO Master (Graphtec's own cutting software). -
You're probably better of using laminating film, they're much thinner than vinyl and they come in high gloss, semi-gloss and matte.

It should come with a pack of 3 of 45' blades. Lots of people use sign blazer with success. I think it also comes with a 1-year license for signcut. Both would be sufficient for hobby if you are willing to take the time to learn how to use the software. Corel is a design software, not a cutting software. You can also download inkscape (free) for design. Either way, you'll still need a cutting software like sign blazer or signcut, or flexi, etc.

Vinyl width in MH-721 total noob
hockeygirl replied to modeverything's topic in USCutter Refine Cutting Plotter Support Requests
load your roll of vinyl. Push the "offline" button on the cutter to take it offline, move the cutter head to the bottom right corner of the vinyl (using the arrow keys on the keypad), and press origin button to set the origin. You'll have to manually enter your vinyl width in your cutting software. -
Few Quick Questions with Adobe Illustrator

You can also resize the artboard in AI to make it bigger than the design, then zoom out to fit all in window. -
wot driver do i use for my refine eh721 for use with flexisign
hockeygirl replied to benb's topic in USCutter Refine Cutting Plotter Discussion
It sounds like static or usb problem. If you're on a laptop, I'd recommend a good external powered USB hub and make sure your cutter is well grounded. -
Gymnastics Meet - Sales Opportunity

You cut the template with your cutter to "fill" the rhinestone, then transfer the rhinestone on a transfer sheet and heatpress to shirt. -
Gymnastics Meet - Sales Opportunity
hockeygirl replied to TheCustomVinylShop's topic in General discussion
If you have worked with rhinestones, I'd recommend them. Also have some glitter vinyl on hand too. I sell through a skate shop which happens to be across the parking lot from a gymnastics place, and girls will always be girls. -
Check in wireframe for duplicate paths or just send 1 color

Word of caution if you're doing double sided on coroplast. You'll be able to see through to the backside to some degree in the sun and makes the sign less clear.
-
You can only send to the cutter from a cutting program or from design sw like adobe illy or corel draw IF you're using a cutting sw that has a plug-in for them. What sw are you using to cut?

Vinyl for iPhone, iPod, iPad. (Water-Based Pigment Ink Vinyl)
hockeygirl replied to VivekM's topic in Vinyl
If you search the forum, you'll find there are already multiple posts on waterbased vinyl for inkjet printers. http://forum.uscutter.com/index.php/topic,26780.0.html http://forum.uscutter.com/index.php/topic,26411.0.html But as far as vinyl thickness, you're not going to find any that's thinner than 4-4.5mil because of the required additional coating to print on waterbased printers. Add another 2-2.5mil for the laminate, and for the most part, i think it's too thick for the application you're looking for. -
Somehow, this line on their website tells me it's probably a scam: 1. kotoprinting.com accept the following payment options: ■Payment Via Bank Transfer ■Payment Via Western Union

Flexi was too expensive for me... that's why I bought LXI... fits in my budget and I don't need the RIP.

Needing to upgrade my entire vinyl cutting setup: Help
hockeygirl replied to Dsigns4U's topic in General discussion
I started out with a MH721 with SignCut. I have upgraded to a Graphtec as well and I use LXI (Flexi rebranded by signwarehouse). I bought my cutter used and paid about $850 for cutter + software. -
Just for giggles. Can you check the packing slip for the cutter to see if it's on it?
