SunIE 15x15 Value Press, didn't get a manual...
hockeygirl replied to Jive's topic in Clamshell Heat Press Discussion or Support
They still have the over the center pressure in the 15x15, but they also added another one with rear pressure. We bought one a couple years ago, still treats us well. -
You can set your contour cut to be right on the outer edge of the design so you won't have the border. Use jpss for light color shirts and 3G opaque for darks. Cotton and 50/50 shirts will work well for your purpose.

I'm not familiar w signblazer but is there an option to cut multiple copies instead of you cutting and pasting the design? And does that work better? It still could be a static problem. Is your cutter properly grounded?

If it stops at the same place every time, it's prob a memory issue -
Experimenting with Heat Diffusing on Heat Presses?

Also, putting a mat between the platen on the transfer would probably change the pressure needed for pressing the shirt. -
Help! MH871 is Weirding Out!

Is it stopping at around the same place everytime. If this file larger (or more detailed) than what you've cut in the past? -
With my old MH, I've also found increasing the cut speed helps if your design is not too detailed. It will clear things out of there quicker.

If I'm not mistaken, sublimation only works on light colored shirts. You can try printing on Darkjet and contour cutting the transfer, but I think it'd be pretty hard to get the same effect that way

Depends what material the plyo box is made of. One option is to apply the vinyl and then cover it with clear skateboard grip tape. You'll get the non-slip service with the logo seen.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the USB driver? -
If you use up all your transfer before your subscription is up, the license basically expires and you'll need to purchase a new one. Call SignCut and explain your situation and ask if they can reset your license for you.

Try saving the design in as an older version of AI, like AI 8.0. -
When I bought my Graphtec, LXI came with it. But since I started out on AI, I still find myself doing most of the design work in AI even though I'm getting used to designing in LXI. If it was me, personally, I can't justify spending the money on new software if I have others that work just as well.

Is your Canon printer waterbased? Because coated vinyl is a lot more expensive than those that can be used with a solvent/eco-solvent printer. Also, where are you getting your Oracal 651? 300' is 2 full rolls, so, your price would be $45 a roll. What width are your rolls? If they're 24", that's really cheap and I want some at that price! For a roll or printable Intermediate Oracal 30"x150', you can prob find it for around $60-70 a roll.

If the cutter doesn't have a serial port, you can't use a keyspan adapter (unless you get a usb-serial converter, and then use the keyspan serial-usb converter).

Screenprintr: got a chuckle out of your conversion.... Fehrenheit=Celcius*9/5+32 I grew up in in eastern canada...

Saving the image as eps does not create the vectors needed for the cutter. you have to trace the image to create the vectors.
-
You'll need to open it in Illustrator and create the vectors for it.

With the Sihouette, you're limited by size. If all you do are just standard letter sized paper/vinyl/etc, then you'll be fine. But if you ever want to start making signs and more, then you'll need to upgrade to at least a 24" cutter. However, with the Laswerpoint, the contour cutting feature is manual. So, if you're doing mainly contour cuttings, it'll be a pita. The Sihouette is made by Graphtec and comes with its own cutting software (not sure but I think you may be able to design in it too). It also features auto registration mark, so the contour cutting is a cinch. In the end, it's up to you how much you want to spend and whether size is important to you, and whether or not you envision this to be more than just a hobby down the road. Good Luck

You may be able to find a used Brothers PR-series for around $2500-3000. A decent digitizing software will run you another $1000.
-
Look for a used graphtec, I got mine for around $800
-
If you do decide on the Silhouette, I'd recommend getting an aftermarket blade holder that uses regular Graphtec blades, and it will also allow you to adjust the blade depth instead of the fixed depth with the stock caps that comes with the cutter.

Problem with ECO 24 cutter plotter on PC
hockeygirl replied to hamelin's topic in USCutter Refine Cutting Plotter Support Requests
Someone had success using the Copam 2500 in Flexi. Also, not sure if there's a baud rate setting on your fitter. If there is, make sure it's set the same as the software.
