    inkscape vector help

I did some research on the "Blue Angels" part and it is a custom logo that was written out just for that so the font does not exist.... Looks like Coaster did a pretty good job of tracing it....

    Transfer Tape Question

I have always had the best luck with Rtape. I have bought tons of different brands and always go back to it.
  13. I would put a serial port in... I was amazed at how much better my machine cut on a serial cable. I know some have good luck on USB but most do not. IF you have a higher end cutter (Graphtec) I would say run the USB and don't worry but with these entry level cutters they prefer serial.
  14. I have been at this a while and no matter what you will always get someone who will mess up a decal and blame you. I always just let the customer know up front that there are no returns on something that they messed up trying to install.... I let them know they will stick to any smooth surface very easily and textured surfaces take a little work... In the few cases I have had where the customer messed up a decal I just replaced it and showed them how to apply it the right way and let them know again if they mess up another they will have to pay for the next and then recommend paying me to come install it.

how to make die cut vinyl?

I think you guys may be a little rough on him..... I think he is using the wrong terms and is inquiring on how to create an outline around the image that can be cut out. Not so much contour cutting but working with different outlines.... Any cutting we do with our machines would be considered "die cut" He needs to research how to outline designs he is creating..... I would highly recommend looking for a local class on your design program you are using.... The process for the design in the video and the picture will differ.

    Backlit sign substrate?

Lexan would work I would talk to a body shop about spraying it for you. Have them spray one side and apply your graphic to the other..... Did you try Wensco? You could try Richards but I highly doubt they will have anything that big..... Sounds like Lexan is your best bet and get it painted...... Let the body shop know your intentions they can spray it light enough to still allow light to pass through...

    Neverending stream of small requests

Thanks Skeeter. I was hoping maybe someone who had one would have some insight as to what it really was... I have tons of cores here and I know I have to be able to find the end caps like that somewhere for a couple dollars... I have tons of single caps but would like a double one like that.... That is very little material and engineering there for me to drop $80....
