I was going to upload a file but the forum dosen't allow uploading dst file PM me
  4. All's good' note my last reply specifically:"...targeted audience is someone who is both ready to make a purchase and has the authority and money to execute the order, Not just someone who's interested. " you are a targeted audience to those emailers that sent you specials. Just like you targeted customers who met the definition. I believe these posts are valuable, they teach newbies about targeted emails and other options which are more effective. Eventually your customers will loose interest and your emails will become part of the fluxum sent by the hundreds of other emailers. Don't get me wrong email is a great, but limited resource. I've seen stats that say email eventually reaches a 100 to 1 ratio for every 100 emails you get 1 reply, so yes you will get customers. If you think you are not loosing anything think of the time spent preparing your flyer's, if you choose to go with a service, your back to the bulk email problem. PS sorry for calling you a poser, I wish I had a penny for every co. who posted here & other forums just to make a buck, but this us cutter forum is one of the best forums I've seen, the quality of the posts is truly outstanding.
  5. According to your footer you have a web hosting co. As I said YOU would see an increase in your business if you used your skills to create a blog or forum. What a marketer means by target audience isn't what most people mean. For me a targeted audience is someone who is both ready to make a purchase and has the authority and money to execute the order, Not just someone who's interested. You will see tons of posts about emailers that are ignored or down right hated for sending bulk email. I wish you nothing but good times, if email works for you, great. I have never bought anything from an email offer, but I have bought $,$$$.00 from tips on this forum' do the math.
  6. to add to the above Disney is notorious for prosecuting copyright infringement. Unless you are licenced to sell Disney then don't do it! So how much for the one head, brand etc..
  7. I've been a marketer for 20 years and Owned my own business since 1998. I have only found email marketing a distraction. The number one rule of marketing (if there is one) is target the interested audience, anyone or anything else is just waste. I can't stand junk email especially from someone I hardly know, this forum is many times better than any email because it engages a motivated , interested audience, so when I'm ready to buy I know exactly where to go. My point being if you aren't some poser trying to promote your service then you should consider adding a blog or forum to your website you'll see a manifest growth in your business over email. Good luck to you any perceived flames were unintended and purely coincidental.
  8. It looks like it's getting out of sync. check the baud rates & stop bit settings in both the program & device manager everything has to agree. I use 9600-8-1-N.

    Signblazer and LPT1

I'm not sure, but I think the MH uses the same driver disk (The Banana disk). In order to use LPT1 or LPT2... there has to be a driver that sets up a printer in control panel's Printer & Fax's folder. By the way just to be clear a serial printer has been out of date since about 1998-1999 back when ieee1384 standard was formalized. They figured USB was on it's way in and there was no reason to continue support. What we are talking about here is a Serial Printer "Emulator" which runs through the USB or Serial Port. My point is don't look for a 25 pin serial to parallel converter it wouldn't work we need a driver that supports the proprietary HPGL used by the LP24 or MH-721.

    Signblazer and LPT1

Actually this has been blogged to death' sorry but the LP24 & SB in general dosen't have the drivers for LPT1 or a serial printer driver, If it did you could use it with any HPGL/HPDL compatible program. There is support for MAC's but nothing for PCs. trust me I've tryed for the last year and still nothing.
  12. Sounds like you have a Blackberry (RIM??). Make sure one of the two serial ports has only a dedicated USB associate with it. Here is a batch file I use to check USB ports: set DEVMGR_SHOW_NONPRESENT_DEVICES=1 start devmgmt.msc ' in dev manager set show hidden devices pause after it runs look in dev manager set show hidden devices and remove duplicate usb devices remove only the USB devices you know are duplicates next time you run the duplicated USB device you may need to reinstall
  13. If the rollers are at the far end of a 24" roll then check for vinyl tenting. make sure you pre-feed the vinyl, lift the rollers then lower back down. That should square up the vinyl & remove tenting. My x-scale is 25795 & y-scale is 28858 they are not factory either but it works for my machine. There is a tutorial describing how to set the scales, sorry I don't have the link handy, do a search for x&y scale.

    embroidery software

Well sophiesew has crashed my system twice, and it doesn't have a lettering option. According to the DLL install date this software has been around since 2007' yet it's still unstable & when it crashed the program tried to send IP information to it's home address. Not really an issue, but it's very easy for a hacker to use that info to hack into my system so I disabled my LAN and forced a hard crash. For me this software is not ready for prime-time. The other software isn't completely free since the Gunold & others tie buying their products in order to get the "Free" software. Again, the bottom line is I still haven't found any truly free software that works!

  16. Boy how quickly a year passes! This little machine saved my business!! Wow, I didn.t lnow could do so much stuff! My LP has never complained or ran into a job it couldn't handle! So far this year I've created applique decals, emblems, heat transfer vinyl, stensils for etched glass, paint stensils and signage! That $300.00 investment earned me on the high side of $10K. Thank you US Cutter, and thank you for making an affordable workhorse like the LP24.

    embroidery software

I'm having trouble using sophiesew not meaning anything against the company, but the software is very clumsy for me at least. it's hard for me to set size parameters for column stitches, and I have limitted control of the point placement. Maybe it's just me, it's so different from the way I'm used to working, but it's free so I guess I shouldn't complain.

    embroidery software

I've been an embroiderer for 12 years, but to be honest I don't know of any free software. there is a lot of free embroidery files(in the trade they're known as 'tapes') but no digitizing. If you do decide to buy I suggest starting with Wilcom , it's not the easiest to use but it has the best stitch engine on the market. Because of all the competition embroidery is very cheap, I'm not trying to tout my own horn but you can PM me for a price quote. My webpage is http://www.caribemb.com. the email is at the bottom of the page.

    Tried everything

    watchout for tentingor loose vinyl.
  21. This looks like a roller problem. Could it be that one of your pinch rollers is sitting over the bearing instead of the ruff surface of the roller?? The pinch roller should pinch the vinyl and the bottom roller.
  22. Static is caused by bad grounding and it is also caused by dry conditions increase the humidity in your work area. not steaming hot but in the 5-15% range will reduce static and it may reduce the communications problems your having ( normal hardware or xon/xoff handshaking should reduce the need for new memory so that leaves static & buffer overruns) I'm assuming your not getting good read/writes so it looks to you like a memory problem but it can be static.
  23. It sounds like your machine may have gotten damaged in shipping call tech support & submit a ticket. Pareses que su maquina fue danado en transito, llamas a tech support para ayuda.
