Hi Just a couple of mirrors I did last week, both are gifts for friends. First one is Christ The Redeemer, iconic statue in Brazil, for a brazilian friend. Was blasted from the back, and the border is supposed to be green and the figure is yellow to include the colors of their flag. Is hard to see but the colors are there, not as bright as I wanted them to be, but I used plain vinyl since we were ready to go and the mirror was the last thing and wife was driving me crazy. Second one is for a friend from Argentina, just used her name on the map, just a simple design. Blasted from the back too, and this time I used some golf leaf I have around here, I don't know for sure, but the term is gilding or similar, might be wrong on that. It really gives a antique-y feel to the design, like an old map. Just wanted to share since is rare when I post some of my work here.

be careful, don't burn yourself congrats on the press !

I have a 1400 for my positives and is great, I have not reference to compare it but is a pretty dark black. Right now I have this one, but really thinking about getting a 1400 or 1100 with CIS for sublimation, that's a shame having to have different printers for different applications.

great advice on the ink drying, I don't print much, but print something just to move the ink, but mine is always ON to be on the safe side. Dakota, great price too, but the one you posted is a refurbished $10 cheaper than the one I posted but mine one is new.

Using that way of thinking this cannot be reproduced ever, because I assume someone, one time came up with the design. I know what you're trying to say, but if using 2 words and an oval and some curves is stealing someone's artwork, our field would be really limited.

Awesome, this one really pops !

Being one color, may I ask why printing instead of vinyl ? Just a question

Thanks ! Do you get the chip at Us Cutter ?

Parts of letters getting bent up when cutting

does the oil need to be applied on the blade itself ? -
I'm looking for a better cutter myself, and I've seen several of those you're talking about, but never payed attention to them. You got me thinking, but most importantly, I had no idea those came with servo motors. I assume I can run Flexi on those with no problem, right ? EDIT: Could you explain how to upgrade the memory on the MH series? I have a 871 that I plan on keeping as a back up.

Material used to stick vinyl thermoflex while waiting to be used ?

I cut and use mine right before pressing, but I'm guessing that sign vinyl backing would be perfect for this, since it's waxed, free and you're recycling -
I like it Is that 2 layers?

I'll check later, thanks a lot man !

Just a quick one I made just to try my airbrushing "skills" combined with some vinyl work. Is not removable vinyl but I just don't care

Hi there I have a guy selling a Roland PNC-1100 for around $350 ..... is worth that money? Being a Roland I guess is a better machine than chinese made stuff, but wanted to see if someone owns one like that and can give me advice. EDIT: What about Anagraph cutters ? are those any good ? thanks
-
Appreciate the feedback and offers. I'm sure of the quality, just wanted to hear it from someone else who owns/operates one. Thanks

Looks pretty good, and it doesn't look like it was blasted from the front

Stop wasting apptape on Coro Signs!
wwpro replied to midwaste's topic in Instructional Contributions
Awesome tutorial midwaste !!! I want to thank you because you're a member who is always contributing and helping others, I can speak from my own experience. This stuff can be done by anyone, but not everybody would take the time to walk us through the process, take pictures, provide a list of materials, etc, etc. Keep up the good work !
