  1. Hi Guys, So I've been doing shirts for sometime, and I just purchased a Value-Added Cap Press. I'll be using the Siser Easyweed vinyl material (heated) My questions? Does anyone have any experience with heat temps? (Yes, they give you instructions for the Easyweed vinyl) but I found the temeperatures to be way off using my t-shirt press? Just looking to see if I can save some material and time by posting and asking? Many thanks in advance, and I appreciate your support! Kevin

    Value Added Cap-Press (US CUTTER)

Do you also have a hat press? (I'm pretty set on shirts) I agree with you on the 5-10 degrees F higher (Not sure how the hat press will differ from a shirt press?) I appreciate your help. Kevin

Please send me a message or e-mail: kevin@eemilitia.com This will be for a local car club that I run.

  9. I would love to get them embroidered. I have the .eps (vector) file on hand. Kevin
  10. I've been using ORACAL 631 series material and absolutely love how the cutter cuts the vinyl.. Lately, customers have been complaining about how hard it is to get the vinyl to stick to the application tape.. even after using a hair dryer on the back and rubbing the back of the vinyl.. I've notice it myself.. it's like the bonding agent is sticking when it should peel with ease... I'm cutting in my basement where it's cool.. temps are 65-70 degree.. not too hot, not humid.. but maybe some moisture.. Anyone else experience this issue? (Again, It cuts great, it's just getting the vinyl to stick to the application tape) I upgraded the application tape to the 4076-RLA to see if that may help with my issue. Any comments would be welcome and appreciated. Kevin
  11. Here is a shirt, I'm going to be making about 20 of them for my local car club.. (it's military themed) Pics: http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd84/kevincoolatta/NOCOMPETITIONTEE004.jpg[/img] http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd84/kevincoolatta/NOCOMPETITIONTEE002.jpg[/img] http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd84/kevincoolatta/NOCOMPETITIONTEE003.jpg[/img] Using: Cheap USCUTTER temp: 145 © sec: 20 seconds. "YES" I am pressing to get the moisture out of the shirt. Shirt: Black 50/50 Hanes Letting the machine warm up properly a good 30 minutes before pressing. The only problem, I'm having is the "Silver" Siser Easyweed material likes to wrinkle... and also does not bond properly. Whether it's letters or images.. it does not adhere properly.. no issues with same material in white, red, or pink.. Is it user error? or is it maybe the material no good? I have also pressed several bandana's that bonded perfect.. same steps above: Pics: http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd84/kevincoolatta/bandanas001.jpg[/img] At this point, I could use anyone's help and suggestions... I have alot of shirts to make and don't want to let down my crew. Sincerely, Kevin
  12. I haven't tried the thermometer yet? Thanks for all the positive feedback.. does UScutter sell silkscreen machines? or could someone lead me in the right direction? I make all the designs myself and just cut the material with the Copam2500 which I'm loving, because it is reliable and works well. Kevin
  13. Hi Guys/Gals, My names Kevin.. I recently purchased a Copam-2500 vinyl cutter and love it! I also purchased an "Inexpensive" Press to make some T-Shirts that I'm having some trouble with... (My problem is the glue seems to be pushing out the edges of the vinyl? (Although the vinyl is sticking well to the shirt itselt). My Press: Economy Large Flat Heat Press-15 x 15 inch Vinyl: Siserweed T-Shirt Material T-Shirt: (BLACK) "Heavy Weight 50/50 ****************************************** Where am I going wrong? 1.) Instructions say Temp © 190 for cotton T-shirts with a Time © 12 seconds I pre-heat the shirt first. I put the vinyl on the shirt I press for the 12 seconds I remove the top coating (plastic excess from vinyl) I press again for 12 seconds (I also had better results from bumping the recommended 190 to 205 © but the vinyl still seems to this (glue) sticky around the vinyl itself.. Again, the vinyl looks great and sticks to the T-Shirt, but the glue/sticky stuff is whats killing the shirt.. (Am I overheating the shirt? Not enough heat? not letting it cure correctly?) I appreciate anyones help as I'm just frustrated going threw shirts and playing around with no avail. Kevin
  14. Thanks for everyones help! Thank you Levi again for all your support! 150© 20 (seconds) full pressure... (let the machine warm up 15-30 minutes) peel hot. All of the shirts came out great! I'm just wearing one for about 2 weeks.. running them threw the washer and still staying to the shirt well! Just want to leave feedback for anyone who may have the same issues.. and a thank you to all for helping a stranger "newbie" out kevin
  15. One last question? I'm using "BLACK" shirts.. Do I peel them hot? or do I let it cool before I peel the cover material off the siser material? I notice that the vinyl itself is all wrinkled, not smooth? Kevin
  16. Thanks for the advise everyone.. I'm going to play around with the pressure (haven't done that yet) as I think it may be a cause.. if not, back to the drawing board or buying a better press
  17. Hi Guys/Girls. My names Kevin, I just recently purchased a PCUT 630... The blade pressure and blade are cutting my images perfect! My only problem is when I want to do multiple cuts.. meaning any number other than 1 cut.. the blade just stops? I'm running VISTA and the USB port. I would really appreciate the help.. I don't want to waste all the vinyl, and should the machine cut more than one vinyl at a time? (I'm also talking about "FONTS") there is nothing fancy about it. Kevin
  18. Hi Guys/Girls. My names Kevin, I just recently purchased a PCUT 630... The blade pressure (130) and blade (0.25) Speed (10 "lowest") are cutting my images perfect! My only problem is when I want to do multiple cuts.. meaning any number other than 1 cut.. the blade just stops on the next image (sometimes 1/2 way threw cutting)? I'm running VISTA and the USB port. I would really appreciate the help.. I don't want to waste all the vinyl, and should the machine cut more than one vinyl at a time? (I'm also talking about "FONTS") there is nothing fancy about it. Kevin
  19. Ken, you have already issued me an RMA#. I left a message with you to f/u if you have resolved the issue with my brand new machine? Kevin

    PCut driver Problem

Does this work on VISTA? I want to make sure before I order.. I'm currently running VISTA with the USB and I don't have any serial 9 pin port (I went to radio shack) and that USB to RS232 device did not work, even though it said it was compatible. Kevin
  21. If I have a PCUT630... I should be using the Creation PCUT CT630 HPGL? What is the difference? Kevin
  22. Hi Ken, Thanks for your help. I will be sending the machine back for repair. (the 9 pin is a no go, the lcd screen is having a mind of it's own) Again, the machine was never able to cut more than 1 vinyl at a time (when it did cut, the pressure, speed, and blade angel worked great on the cuts) Just never had enough memory to cut more than 1. Then day number 2, the machine could barely cut a single vinyl at all.. (These cuts being simple "fonts" from the Signblazer Software) Day 3, the machine wouldn't cut anything and the LCD was bounching from PCUT 630 - REV.# 12K-35K. I used both the USB & Serial (both Vista & XP) on a laptop & Desktop with no luck.. same scenario.. I also checked the mother board like you told me and nothing aswell.. everything looks intact.. nothing loose, no glue untouched where they should be etc.. Kevin
  23. I'm having the same issues with my 3 day old cutter! I spoke with ken, removed to check the MB, and everything looks in place. I was able to cut 10 vinyls with this machine.. all of them being "FONTS" and the pressure, blade cut great while it worked! I was never able to cut more than 1 vinyl at a time w/out the machine "freezing" on me! I'm using Vista on a brand new computer w/the USB.. (this computer does not have capabilities to use the other supplied cable) This morning, I gave it another shot.. and the LCD will only read "PCUT 630 & then REV. 4.3 12K---30K and the blade looks to make a cut, and shuts off! (I'm dissappointed because I ordered a T-Shirt Press) and tons of vinyl and spending over $1K might not sound like alot to everyone.. but to a young person starting out.. I'm just feeling like I lost my money. Kevin
