  1. I am new to the forum. I have had my GX-24 for 12 years and have loved it. Last week, when I turned it on, the letters were skewed. For example, instead of Roland, it might say "Rohan" and so on. The cutter is obviously out of warranty. Roland tech support sent me links to online manuals and downloads. I tried to reload the firmware but the cutter just won't communicate with my computer. I have deleted the device on my computer, reloaded all of the software, several times. I just can't get the cutter to respond to the computer, via usb. I have tried several ports on my computer, in case that was an issue. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how else to get the firmware loaded? I even tried to reset the cutter to factory default, but that didn't do anything.
