You might try the NEW USB to serial driver we have available on our web site. uscutter.com Download and install the driver- reboot the computer and turn the cutter off then back on. Hope it helps -

Great news- glad to hear your issue was resolved. We have added a NEW updated USB to Serial driver for refine cutters with Windows on our USCutter.com web site. It is self extracting and easy to install and has already solved a few issues I have come across with computer to cutter communications. -

Try and move the metal roller maually with your fingers. It may be seized up, could also be a motor issue. -

For more complex art and lettering, try lowering the speed at which the blade cuts your project. I would suggest 12inches or lower to try and resolve. -

The cutters usually ship out the day after we receive confirmation of payment. That is the next business day of course.

The default for the e Speed is +0 and default for the Baud is 9600. Anytime you turn the cutter off and then back on, the cutter is reset to defaults. Not exactly certain what the e Speed is for, but I will look into it and try and find out. We have never adjusted the e Speed to do any cutting, so for now I would not mess with it. Ken

I have recently added the latest Windows Xp/ Vista USB to Serial driver for Refine Cutters on the uscutter.com web site. This is a self extracting file and very easy to use. Has already helped solve a few issues I have come across today. Hope this helps Ken -

Sometimes the arm holding the blade is the culprit. Can you move the arm with your finger? -
