I need the font Styrofoam Feelings

Thanks for trying though man...... I have downloaded it from about 50 font sites, and they are all the same with the exception of the .otf font, and it won't work right either, Customer wants this EXACT font, and I am an hour and a half in an can't find it. I even tried to buy the pack that says it's in it. until I read a review that it was a crap pack with 80% of the fonts failing to load. So back to the drawing board literally. May have to try a trace of a web image.. YAY! Kevin

    Transfere Paper and Printer?

If your not looking for large format, I use a Dell Color Laser 1320C. They are on sale f0r $249 right now. I paid more unfortunately. But the transfers are great color and durable as heck coimpared to inkjet. I have only tried a couple transfer papers. from Imprintables but am still experimentng on finding the one I like. What I like about laser is the cost per print is WAY less, and you can use it for Sublimation on other stuff too. I will eventually get wither the WF 1100 o the R1900 Epson, but for now this works great. Kevin

    Which colors to start with...

The most common colors I use, are Black, White, Yellow, Burgundy(local school color), Blue (also happens to be a nearby school color) and Red. I use a lot of Neon Green I think they call it Yellow Green in the Siser color chart. I have tried a few other brands but I prefer Siser Easyweed. I order either from here or from imprintables Warehouse. I tried a few other places and I got old stock from both, the vinyl was brittle work with when you were weeding. Didn't care for that. I contacted imprintables and they sent me a sample pack of their materials, Ask for the Flock Sample, you'll love it. they also included color charts and some other info for you. Kevin
  9. It sounds to me like a corruption problem of some kind. Windows has been puttign out a ton of updates in the last week, and I have spent my days reinstalling software that their "FIXES" broke. Do you have Signblazer installed? If not download it from here and install it and see if it repeats the same problem. this eliminates the cutter out of the equation if it cuts correctly. If it cuts correctly in Signblazer then I would try reinstalling flexi and resetting up the cutter. It doesn't hurt to have a couple different cutters programs available and know how to use them, because in a pinch you can still create and cut. I think it may ask if you want to save your old settings when you uninstall. say no if asked this. otherwise you may just reinstall it the same as it is now. Kevin

    How is you'r weather

The warmest day I can remember was back in December, and that was something like 37 for 1 day. Since November it has been below freezing 90% of the time. We have had solid snow cover on the ground since before Christmas. we normally get 27 inches of snow a year, we have now had 43. and way colder than normal. So much for the weatherman's predictions that it would be milder and dryer than normal. Kevin

    Seiki SK870T 34inch

I bought a couple of the Cricut mats and cut some craftbooking paper on my LP 24. I bought the Cricut blade, the edges of those have a longer cutting face. My Lp cut it no problem. For teh price difference I wouldn't be afraid to buy a cheap cutter and try it out. The nice thing about the P-cut and the LP is that you can buy the flat table wings from UScutter to make a nice flat work table for the mats to set on. Kevin

  13. killer on the cut screen where it shows your machine in the picture. go up to view, and zoom all. See if it shows the red box cutting across your design. And another box after it with a 2 in it.You can use your mouse wheel to zoom after that to see it better. Kevin
  14. I would almost bet it is either the workspace size as the guys have said or that it is tiling your design. there is a blue and a red outline around your designs when you cut in SBE. I can't off the top of my head remember how but you can zoom out on the cutter screen to see your entire design, and you can then make sure the box is only a single one and doesn't cut across your design. I would venture to say since it's stopping at teh same point that this is the problem. just a guess though. Kevin

    screen printing using vinyl

I just got done with my press, I think I might try this before i do an emulsion version. I just have to wait for payday for the funds to buy my inks and other supplies. The only thing that worries me wit this is the possibility of ruining your screens with the adhesive from the vinyl. Kevin

    Class Action Lawsuit?

I find it amazing how many people cannot see the forest for the trees. you got 14 months out of a $300 cutter. You now maybe need a Mb for another $85 so let's say your into this thing for $400. Ok what if you had spent $1500 on a graphtec. warranty is up, I guarantee your not getting a mb from them for $85. EVERY piece of shop equipment you buy has maintenance, whether it's PM where you service your machine regularly, like lubricating, Cleaning and adjusting. Or repairs from either wear and tear or unplanned failure. Did you do any pm on your machine? OR did you just cut? If you didn't clean the unit on a regular basis, paper duSt from cutting will get into everything and gum up the bushings and bearing putting a larger load on the motor. Which in turn in run by the mother board. The mother board is designed to handle a certain amount of current, but when the load goes UP, it exceeds it's limits and something has to give. If you didn't lube anything it's even worse. That's where pm comes in. Do the maintenance and you can get a lot more time out of cheaper equipment. If you didn't know about any of this, it is still your fault, because you didn't either take the time to research it or simply ask. I am gonna go out on a limb here and sport some numbers to you. USCUTTER on EBAY has sold almost 13000 items, with less than 50 Bad or neutral feedbacks. That is less than 1/2 of one percent. That's pretty damn good in my book. Now if we take that further. 90 percent or more of the complaints in here, turn out to be user error, or lack of knowledge. So if you tally up the number of complaints verses the quantity of sales your still going to be sub 1% Failure rate. And again 99.9% of them get taken care of with a mutually agreeable repair. I am not a staunch UScutter blue blood either. And I don't get anything from supporting them, (Though I am open up for free stuff to test for them WINK WINK.) I have almost left here a couple times due to some of their support issues, but Marcus has always stepped in when the situation demands it and made sure the customer was happy. I will continue to deal with them as long as they are run by a man who puts the needs of the customer over the needs of his wallet. Ok I am done ranting, I had a rough day, needed to vent somewhere. i am sure I could go on for about 7 more pages but my fingers hurt. Kevin

    I need Banner help. ENDURABANNER?

I use these guys for all my custom banners, they are cheap and great quality. They got a little old lady, in this huge shop, making most of them. She cranks em out great. For ready made banners I like the ones they have on uscutter here. Especially the black ones i got. the finish is almost matte and is great, soft supple and seems very durable. I made one for my band a year ago and hasn't pealed cracked or anything. Looks as good as the day i made it. And it has been unrolled and rolled at least 50 times since then. Kevin

First shirt with JPSS & Epson WorkForce 1100

I was wondering the same thing, that's a clean cut press with paper, but I heard the jpss was self-weeding, or some of it is. And that was with the stock pigment inks? Kevin

    Help to ID this "vinyl"

Smokey 1 was a great movie, 2 was ok, 3 sucked big dog.. I was thinking about that foil transfer. I am wondering if the adhesive is something similar to the stuff you use in screen printing in a dried roll form. They do the same thing for heat press. you just apply the clear foil adhesive, dry it then heat press foil over it. But I think it might be reversed. you put the clear everywhere you don't want the foil to stick. Oh who knows lol. i woul dbe curious about longevity and price but it looks cool. Kevin

Supply Ideas for UScutter.......list your needs!

that's pretty slick. i knew they had it for screen printing but not for HT. Kevin
  22. : Great! One last tip now that you have it dialed in for Vinyl. If you want to cut heatpress vinyl all I do it take the adjuster nut and turn it about a quarter turn to the right and bump the pressure up 10 pts. Then when you go back to vinyl reverse it. I am not using a clean cut so you may have to make those a bit smaller to prevent cutting through the backing. but once you find the happy point you can switch back and forth on a moments notice. Kevin
  23. Great,, glad your getting somewhere. These machines are good, IF you take the time to ask questions, read the available forum info and do the necessary adjustments. I would now try adjusting the pressure down and cut some things. Like someone has posted, too much pressure can break the tip on a cleancut blade. I don't want you wasting your money. try a couple things and drop it 10 each time until the problem recurs. One thing I have learned is that too much pressure also affect the accuracy of your cuts. Good Luck Kevin

Jagged Cuts Due to Blade Offset

I would recommend reinstalling Flexi and trying it again. Sounds like maybe there is something corrupt in the program. There isn't a setting in Flexi that I am familiar with that would cause. that problem. Or there's a possibility that you accidentally changed something and it's causing it. Doing a reinstall should set you back to the default settings. It seems like I read in another forum someone was having a similar problem, though a little more extreme, and reinstall solved it for them. Save a vet

Dude, great post. I am vet and thank you for doing this. When you get the info please make sure to get it to me as well. I was very fortunate to not come back to this great country will any debilitating injuries. Many of the guys I served with were not so fortunate. So this gives me a way to give back to them. Thanks again. Kevin
