Help Converting this .pdf to SignCut

Maybe I'm not conveying my needs clearly. I'm asking if someone can convert this image as it is presently to be compatible with SignCut so we can cut it out. Anyone?

Help Converting this .pdf to SignCut

There should be some texture to the crescent. Is it not showing up in the Pdf? When I opened it it was there.

Thanks for the response Mark. But the crescent has a little more detail than two circles which we need.

    Need help vectorizing Wedding Monogram

An update from last night: Thank you kyjeeper! The file you created was readable by SignCut and we were able to cut out our logo for the first time. One issue we did have is when trying to cut it out smaller than 4" the font was too small to weed. I tried to thicken the font (via a 1 pt. stroke) but once again when I saved the file it couldn't be read in SignCut. Would it be too much to ask if you could help us with this (thicken the font so it can be cut at small sizes) as well? My fiance would love to print them as small as 2-3". Once again, thank you for your help yesterday and a big thanks in advance.

    Need help vectorizing Wedding Monogram

Thanks for the help! I was able to open it in SignCut and all looks like it should work. I can't open it in Inkscape though. Does Inkscape recognize .eps files? I figured it would..... Thanks again though!
  7. Good morning. My fiance and I have created a monogram for our wedding but have found out that SignCut won't recognize it. We created it in Inkscape but we're newbs and are sure we didn't do something right as any vector-based program doesn't seem to recognize it. Can someone help me vectorize our logo with each component seperated so we can cut it out in vinyl. Thank you so much in advance!! Monogram - Final (Color).pdf Monogram - Final (Color).pdf
  8. Now that I know what it's called I guess I can ask the right questions. Can some help me weld this image so it will be cut ready? It's really fragmented and in SignCut it cuts out so many little sections. I appreciate anyone's help!

Help with .ai file in SignCut

Thanks Fivestar. Well, that is the perfect name for that function that is for sure! I just looked in SignCut and I can't seem to find that function. Maybe there are some programs out there just for welding. My search continues! Thanks again for taking time to look on your Friday evening!

Help with .ai file in SignCut

Thanks for the reply Fivestar! Is that the technical term for what it needs? I've been trying to figure out how to describe it but that works perfectly! Is there any program that will 'weld' something like this?

Help with .ai file in SignCut

I posted a graphics question under vectorizing and was told that maybe this would be a better thread to post it under. My dilemma is that I have a vector file that when sent to SignCut it wants to cut out every path when obviously I only want to cut out the outline. Is there a way in SignCut or Illlustrator to have this happen. I don't want to cut out each and every path as it will be a terror weeding and also won't look as clean. I've attached the file I'm having a problem with. If anyone can help I be in there debt!! Thanks in advance! Logo - Illustrator.ai Logo - Illustrator.ai

    Need help Vectorizing this...

Thanks for bearing with my dumb questions Terry. You're a trooper! Flexi must be a better cutting software, not that I'm bashing SignCut, it's done everything I could ask for. But when I send the .ai file to SC this is what I get. There's an extra feather, and obvisouly one thing I don't know how to fix is not cutting the paths that intersect each other. My screenshot shows what I'm talking about, I hope.

    Need help Vectorizing this...

Thanks so much for your help Terry! I'm still learning so if I overlooked something easy I'm sorry. I opened the file you sent in Illustrator and exported into SignCut and there were quite a few layers, instead of just three for the three colors. I had the client send the Illustrator file but when I got it it has lots of 'extras' that don't make it clean to cut. When I say 'extras' I mean all of the paths that you don't necessarily want to cut. I've attached the file. If anyone can help me get this file 'cut ready' I'd greatly appreciate it. I appreciate all of your help Terry, I just think I the file I sent you wasn't a good sample of converting to a vector graphic. I think it had too much pollution. But I appreciate your help!
