  1. I have a copam 3500 going from serial to serial. The USB didn't work out for us and I only have a serial port open on the computer. I have tried signcut with no driver, as instructed by uscutter. Didn't work. I tried flexi with the roland pnc-100 driver, and the hp driver. It worked but won't cut a whole job without screwing up. It makes a growling noise for less than a second in the middle of a job. The growling I found out is the bottom set of rollers not moving. The tension rollers are fine. The outcome is that the material doesn't advance like it should and the blade starts cutting in the wrong area, so that my images are not spaced correctly or the images overlapped a little. It appears to be a problem with the driver I am assuming, or there is an issue with going from serial to serial with the copam. Any ideas?
  2. I have the Copam 3500. When I am cutting vinyl it will randomly jump back and overlap its last cut by about 1/2 inch to 1 inch. I thought it was the vinyl just slipping under the tension rollers. That wasn't it. Its not a driver problem either. I does it from Flexi with the Roland pnc-1000 driver. It does it from Signcut also with no driver installed just like the instructions say to do. We are wasting too much vinyl and not getting any production done. I need help! Thanks.

    Decals?

Location location location. Just like with any business location is key. I was at a flea market over the weekend and this guy had three people working it and was non stop. He had a large board behind him some 12 foot high with all kinds of examples and pricing. He had resonable pricing for the area but most importantly he had lots of foot traffic, samples of work hanging and lots of books on the table. Find a good flea market with foot traffic, make yourself visable and have varity. Research the area for what will sell. what might sell in california may not go in North Carolina. Good luck

    help

The new driver did the trick. Up and running and cutting just fine .. Just needed to adjust the pinch roller tension a bit. I also have flexi sign running. I downloaded the roland pnc1000 driver and it seems to work fine.
