    Space evenly in SCALP 3

I have Scal 4. On the right hand side select the position and size tab. Put a check mark in the "to page" box. Then you can select your item and Align.

    Silver Bullet Cutter ?

I just checked on the silver bullet forum and here is what someone said about balsa. The Silver Bullet can cut Balsa, the maximum thickness would be 2mm and would need the 60plus blade. Here is the link to a discussion about balsa wood. http://forum.silverbulletcutters.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=5248&p=90554&hilit=balsa#p90554

    Holiday Craft Ideas

I cut the clear transparency the diameter or the ornament. Cut my vinyl design, apply to the transparency then roll up the transparency and slip it into the ornament. It usually unrolls on it own and looks like it it floating.

    Holiday Craft Ideas

Ornaments with the vinyl on a transparency inside seem to be a big hit this year. Not a great picture

How do you organize your vinyl scraps?

Since I mainly just do crafts, I can use very small pieces. I put each color of small pieces in a clear page protector. Larger pieces are flat in an under the bed plastic container. Sure wish I lived near some of you that throw your scraps out!

    How many layers?

It was brought to my attention that this is a copyright file. I'm sorry. I didn't give it any thought since I was just putting this on a mug for personal use. I removed the file I posted.

    How many layers?

I tried cutting this file, and I'm pretty sure there are duplicate layers. I use scal3, and tried to the simplify the nodes, but it made very little difference. In the layers window it had lots of blank squares that made no difference that I could see when I tried to hide them. It cut, but had lots of tiny slivers and took forever. Can anyone tell me how to fix these problems? Thanks.

    How many layers?

Thanks, guys. Jaybird, it cut great. Much faster and smoother. Thanks again.
  11. My daughter bought this decal for her car and I would appreciate any hints and suggestions on how to apply it. I know how to apply large graphics using the hinge method on a wall, but not on a curved surface with door handles! I would have cut something for her, but I only have a 12" black cat lynx and would have had to piece it together. http://www.ebay.com/itm/321048706369?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

    Question about car decal application

As per request, here is a picture. Everything went well except it started raining. Removed a butterfly from bottom so we could move the entire design down some.

    Question about car decal application

I'm worried because when I held it up to her car, it looks like I have to put it over the door handle unless we remove the bottom butterflies and lower the entire design.

Yes, paper tape! Thanks for the video. I had only found ones for small window decals.

    Pets?

I have two labs. I do my vinyl work in a spare bedroom and I don't let the dogs in that room. Jake is blowing his coat right now and the hair in the house is terrible!
  17. I made this banner for my church and put it outside with a southern exposure. I'm in western Pa., so we don't have extreme heat. I put it up the first of August and when I took it down in the fall it was full of cracks. It was the 10 oz greenStar. I expected it to last a little longer than 3 months. I need to redo the banner and wondered what weight, type to order. Pictures of the banner:

Production tables, what have other built?

I just do this as a hobby, so use a spare bedroom. I bought this table and like it because it has a small foot print when folded and it is also higher than a normal table.

Need help converting svg file to eps

Thank you, mb20music! I have used inkscape to turn jpg files into svg files. Most of the time I use a program called Sure Cut Alot, but it doesn't deal with the eps file format. Thanks again everyone.

  22. I use the Siser EasyWeed with an iron. I have a piece of sheet metal that I put down on the ironing board so I can apply even pressure. A new cookie sheet will work too. I also put a piece of parchment paper on top of the easy weed before hitting it with the iron.
  23. Haven't order from them, but plan to soon. Price for EasyWeed is $7.50 for a 15 inch by 1 yard piece. http://www.heattransferwarehouse.com/SISER_HTWEASYWEED.html
  24. Gee, a reason to get the camera out of the case! I'm not artistic, but love to play around with my camera gear.
