  1. Wow, you're a life saver. That worked! Making perfect cuts again!! It was driving me insane. Thanks a million.
  2. Where's the set screw? Sorry I'm not too good with my hands.
  3. Btw how do I tighten the knurled rollers? I think one might be a little loose. The vinyl was drifiting even without with no blade so I don't think it's the blade or cartridge. I have my SC machine coming in the mail but would love to salvage my MH. I removed the plastic end where the power outlet is and tightened the belt by tightening the screw. All that's left is the knurled rollers. I'm not sure how to adjust them.
  4. Thanks for the response. I guess I've always known this day would come. I went ahead and ordered an SC machine. I loaded up the vinyl and took the blade out just to see if it would stay on track and it didn't. It's started drifting and lost control. I thought for sure it was a software issue, but I guess time has just caught up with my MH. I'll keep it as a back up for smaller orders. Thanks again.
  5. Update. So my machine is definitely not tracking correctly. I just got done cutting a design that's 40" inches that I've cut a million times and the vinyl could not stay on track and ended up getting all jammed up. So now that I know what the problem is how can I adjust the machine so that it tracks and cuts the way it used to?
  6. Hi all, I've been all over these forums desperately looking for answers. I've had my cutter for about 3 years and never had any issues until recently. It's making terrible cuts. Lines are jagged, my circles look like crooked ovals, gaps are not closing. The other day I was told the driver (I use signcut pro) needed to be updated. Ever since I updated the driver I've had nothing but problems. My settings have been the same for years. Another problem I'm experiencing is that signcut can no longer read text from my Inkscape files. It's making me convert all of them to path. Not sure if that's related to my cutting problems. Ive been using the same files for years and noticed that the cuts are starting in different places. I've always had gaps on large files (and I fix them with an exacto knife) but now I have them no matter how large or small. I cleaned out the blade holder and changed the blade. Any ideas?
  7. Hi all, I have a Silhouette Cameo that I use to make decals for laptops. I use the sillhouette studio software and I use oracal 651 and 631 for vinyl. My decals are all one color. Does anyone know if I can make full color decals on the cameo? Also, where can I get a this type of vinyl and do they make one that's quality is as good as oracal? So far I know (well actaully I think) that I need some kind of inkjet vinyl and that I can use contour cutting. I'm just not sure how to put the pieces together. Am I allowed to post a picture an example of a decal I'd like to make? Thanks

MH 721 not cutting bigger images

Hello, Just wanted to give everyone an update. I put my cutter (which is on a stand) on wood. I gave the vinyl some slack before hitting cut out so that it wouldn't need to pull from the roll and I bought some static spray and sprayed it on the vinyl. I placed a humidifier in the room as well. I was able to cut design after design (all big) with no problem. Thanks again for everyone's help.

MH 721 not cutting bigger images

Guys, I stripped more paint off to make sure it was grounded correctly. I don't think I stripped off enough before. I ran it with no media and no blade and I did not get any jamming or freezing. I then tried the pen tool on just the vinyl backing and again no jamming or freezing. I'm going to try to cut it tomorrow using vinyl but I want to go out and buy some static wipes first. OWJones, I'm going to try your suggestion as well. Thanks everyone!

MH 721 not cutting bigger images

Hi! Sorry I meant USB cable (the one it came with), not adapter. My machine is on a stand and I grounded the machine with the copper wire that was provided by stripping the ends and exposing the wire and connecting it from one of the screws on the stand to the bottem of the machine like the Youtube video from USCutters instructed. The stand is on carpet though. Should I place it on something else? And if so, what? Could static cause it to jam/freeze up? The design always finishes, just not in the right places lol. Thanks for the reply!
  11. Hi everyone, I'm brand new here. I purchased a new MH 721 from USCutters about 6 months ago. I only started using it recently. I'm having a problem cutting out larger images. I've cut a few smaller images (12x12) with no problem. I tried cutting out a silhouette of a cartoon elephant (very simple design) that is about 22" by 31", but it is not cutting correctly. Halfway through the cut it seems to jam or freeze up (it makes a noise simlilar to a printer when it gets a paper jam) and it then re-positions (it almost seems like it reset for a split second) the vinyl and finishes the job. The second half of the cut is overlapping the first half of the cut (the cut that was made before the jam/freeze). Needless to say the poor elephant is all messed up. I'm not very tech savvy so please keep it simple stupid lol. I'm using windows 7 and I'm using signcut. I'm also using the USB adapter. Could that be the problem? My wife and I are very frustrated . We're used to the silhouette cameo and we bought this to make bigger designs. Thanks for all your help!
