    sublimation printer

I have the Cobra Epson wf7110 setup...works great..i do a head cleaning once a week, mainly for when its sitting and not getting used..but i try to make at lease one product a week with it. key is to also remember to load the paper in the correct way. also i just upgraded from a 15x15 heat press to a 16x20, so now i gotta order larger paper to do larger items now' some of my products.

    Epson Stylus Pro 4900

Anyone know anything about this Epson Stylus Pro 4900 printer? Theres one at an auction from a screen printer going out of business.. They are about $1700 brand new... I may be able to get it for really really cheap on the auction...just wondering if it's something i could use to print stuff shirts and etc for my business. I have an Epson WF7110 that is set up by CobraInk for dye sublimation, which works great, but its a $500 set up...and if this one is far better i may try to get it, either use or just resell and make some money off it.

    Graphtec Ce5000-60 Freezes

Tried hitting Enter and it didn't do anything. It is like a 9-10 foot cable...may replace it next time i go to walmart...but i need at least 10' cuz the port for the usb on the cutter is on the far end from my computer desk work area so it has to be long. This one is a High Speed 2.0 cable...will a 3.0 cable work for it or not?

    Website Product Designer....

Thanks..its a long slow work in progress. I probably move close to an average $800 in sales a month thru the site... So i keep adding little extensions and modules to make it better. Just added a fee/discount module that lets me adjust fees or discounts based on product, quantities, categories, etc. Mainly got this to give discounts on orders when they buy more than one...right now i have it set up like this 1-4 = 0% 5-9 = -5% 10-19 = -10% 20-9999 = -15% Also added another feature to help with shipping. Before i just had a flat rate $5 shipping on all orders...which in most cases i was losing money on. But now i can set it based on weight or cart total. There are many other options and rules but i try to keep it simple. There are many shipping rules..but here are mine for US 48 shipping 0-16.99 = 5.00 17-35.99 = 7.00 36-45.99 = 8.00 46-55.99 = 9.00 56-80.99 = 10.00 81-99.99 = 15.00 100-99999 = 0 (Free shipping) I also added the extra banners for showing paypal and credit card payment options, the Free Shipping on orders over $100, and then the discounts for bulk orders.. I also added the Affiliate system, where customers can sign up to be affiliates, and then they create a Tracking Code to give to customers. The customers get a % discount off their orders and the affiliate gets a % commission. This is very useful and will help bring in more orders.
  6. Ok i just installed a pretty simple, basic, robust product designer on my site, its not the fanciest, but it was affordable. This isn't ideal for vinyl cutting, but would work for vinyl printing i guess, but its more ideal for Dye Sublimation items. Basically, you create the Product, first one i have done so far is for an Iphone 5 cell phone case. Then u have to create a background, basically an empty template of the product, again in this case, its the iphone 5 case. Then the customer can upload their own photos and tweak it for the case, and add text over it as well. The customer can also select images from a library you build and attach to the item. Only thing i don't like is, this library isnt categorized, so they have to scroll thru all your images instead of picking a category first. The developer of this software extension is working on an upgrade that will do that. Once the customer is done, and purchases it, a .png file of all the artwork is saved in a folder on your server and/or emailed to you, then u can make the final product. Once i get my 1st product all done and lots of images in the library, its best to then COPY that item and edit it for another product, like a different cell phone case or a mouse pad, etc..this way you won't have to insert the library all over again.. This is also another feature the developer is working on, where u can have one library and all the products can be linked to it, so u just need to add images to that directory and not update each individual product each time. If any of you are interested in seeing this in action, let me know. It is an OpenCart extension...the extension costs money for the license, but the OpenCart core website is free... I have been looking for other similar extensions that would work for cutting decals, solid colors, but no luck yet.

    Craigslist Score!

Just scored this 2006 Stahl's Hotronix 16x20 auto open clam heat press....$400 not bad but sadly it needs new gas shocks for the auto lift...got them on order already thru their website. It is replacing my older Stahl's Mighty Press, 15x15, which i will probably put into storage for a backup.

    Glass etching

This is the HF Blast Cabinet I have...and yes u do have to assemble it yourself, and its best to use some silicone/caulk when assembling it to keep it from leaking as much...and don't be stingy with the silicone either...go heavy. http://www.harborfreight.com/abrasive-blast-cabinet-68893.html

    Making shirts pros/cons

I do mostly HTV and some Dye Sub stuff. HTV is very easy once u get the hang of it. Your target customer is going to be the ones that want a one-off custom shirt....and the most you will want to do is about 15, any more than that, get them screen printed (depending on the design really, if its just text, the sky is the limit) The biggest order i have had was for 15 shirts for a softball team...all the same logo on front, different names on the back. I whipped them out in 3 hours, from design to cut and weed to pressing. And at $15 a shirt, it was a good profit. But like i said, most of my customers just want one or two shirts...or baby clothing, etc.

    Ammo Bullet vectors

A little bit of every thing really. Ar15 ammo, 9mm ammo, 50cal, shotgun shells, etc. Just want to make a few different designs with them and want them to be fairly accurate ammo representative. I dont know much about all the types of ammo, i have a 22 and a ruger SR9 9mm.
