Not the Student version, they have it as well. I went ahead and purchased the upgrade from Corel @ 50% off.

Will the Edge work for apparel transfers?

I can't begin to tell you the issues we've had with this cutter. Now, we fire up to do shirts.... (HTV), Cut the first few pockets, thr graphic was good but the text was horrible. Rounded edges, along with one of the original issues of the blade appearing like it doesn't hold consistent pressure. Tried a test cut, itvwitldnt complete the cuts and was also rounded at times. . I tried several different blades, and different angle blades. Nothing helped very much. Offset did SLIGHTLY improve the text, but very slightly. Another issue is the blade holder is rubbing the vinyl, to the point it's really showing on the vinyl. This isn't a problem on HTV, but it still shouldn't do it. Has anyone experienced this? FWIW: USC has agreed to replace the cutter, but I don't have the original packaging.....

Headache from day 1

Notice the dot on the left vertical leg of the triangle? That's the start/stop point. They can't explain that. As far as support, they opened up a ticket online. We talked back & forth with different trials. I've still yet to try SCALP from my surface pro. VM from it cut pretty good. I'm wondering if maybe the laptop is the problem or not updating SCALP. It's odd that this just suddenly started. -

To be even more blunt.... VM is worse. Can't even arc text. I can work circles around VM with SCALP. -

I sucked it up and tried VM with another computer, it cut a lot better. Almost flawless at 0.08" tall. I wonder if if it's hardware on the laptop with SCALP or SCALP itself. I still had had to run offset to 0.60, and it also doesn't explain why the test cut directly from the machine is rounding corners. -

Tighten the belt....... haven't tried yet. We have 58 shirts on this order that's no big deal as far as the cuts, so we're gonna knock these out before I tear into it and render it useless. lol -

Right at a year. We don't do a lot of work being as we both have jobs. We have spurts where we take in 100 shirt orders and 20 here and there. It just started all of a sudden. Static isn't the issue. I thought maybe the file or that particular font, or even the fact that we're trying under 1/8" text, but even 2" tall text won't finish cuts properly. It even does it with the pen. -

Already have. Basically repeated everything I've already done. -

All new blades. Depth is so little you can't even see it, barely feel it. I can lower pressure from 63 to 57 and it'll have areas where it barely scars the vinyl. -

Got some of the issues fixed. Ran the offset all the way to .55-.60 and it squared the text up. Not sure why it all of a sudden needed to be that high..... still having these crazy cuts though. The T isn't cutting straight either at start or finish. Thought maybe the blade wasn't spinning, but it's intermittent. Did same with both holders. The small graphic should be straight instead of humped up. I'm wondering if the T & this are the same problem. The A should be open, as it is, but the two horizontal lines should be parallel. -
Needing to get started on homecoming shirts and the wife likes this font. TIA

On another note, I was always told if took 390° to 400° for sublimation. My new mug press had me ready to throw it out the window. I'd hit the start button and nothing would appear to happen. After a few moments, the timer would start to tick down. That seemed ok, I'd just wait until it started to count down then stuck my mug in and close. What freaked me out is the temp would drop to 310° quickly and never would recover but to around 350°. I let the first one stay in until the temp was back to set temp and left for about 85 seconds longer. They scorcher badly. I finally did it according to instructions and guess what..... Perfection. What blew my mind was travel mugs. 320° set, 230° idle, 45 seconds.

On license plates. The stainless look plates are great, but the white ones have this blotchy look everywhere the paper touches it. You can also see EXACTLY where the tape was applied. (I use tape, because every type of spray glue I use leaves a pink color on my finished products) Keychains come out beautiful. I noticed the stainless plates are thicker than the white ones, theoretically creating more pressure, but would that help? Seems like just the opposite. This is so aggravating.

385°, 50 seconds, just a little more pressure than just the weight of the platen. Came out perfect.
-
One other thing, the red on the plate doesn't near match the red on the keychains.... used the same file, just copied, pasted and resized. Gonna shorten my press time on the plate and see what happens.

Yeah, I removed the plastic protector. I believe it's product quality, like you say. It's a blotchy looking haze. I never had it on other plates, then Conde sent these thin plates and it seemed like that's when my trouble started. As far as paper.......travel mugs, coffee cups, keychains and other plates are fine. Time to place a call to Ted. LOL

You can see the square straight out of the printer. A guy wanted his company logo on a travel mug, sent me a pic. Opened in Illy, looked good. Printed, there's a faint pink square. I had this on another company logo but was able to get rid of it, and for the life of me I can't remember how I did it.

Does anyone have some they'd like to sell or know where I can get a small amount? Just learned a couple cousins have mesothelioma. I'm gonna do some ribbons for windows & such, so I won't need a huge roll. It's expensive to go that rout. Lol Pearl white is what I found for that particular disease. Any help is appreciated.

Find my font and all the online identifiers can't find it.
