  1. He guys I am going to upgrade to a new vinyl cutter. My MH machine messes up 65% of the time and I waste vinyl that way. I am using a Mac laptop computer. I think I would have about $500 to spend. What would you guys recommend that is 100% reliable that I don't have to babysit. Do you think I could I send my machine to US cutter and get a little bit of a discount.

I could not afford a newer machine at the time is the laser pointer 2 compatible with Mac computers I am still starting a part-time business. I wish I had somebody to teach me all of the ins and outs about the vinyl cutters but I don't so I half to learn as I go.

Vinyl Cutter Upgrade From a MH 14 inch to a (?)

I have been thinking about the laser pointer 2 for the past couple of months it looks like a good machine for the price it looks like it's pretty close to the roland machines I like that you can cut more than 10 inches it would work much better for the T-shirts I am starting to make

Vinyl Cutter Upgrade From a MH 14 inch to a (?)

Well if I do not watch it it has its own mind and messes up a letter or something like that I was probably just sugarcoating it more like 25% or 30% of the time. Like today I was making cursive one letter initial for a tumbler cup. I was doing four different kinds of cups but one initial on each cup I was cutting white vinyl and all the letters were missed placed and running into each other (not spaced out like it's supposed to be) I tried it again the same thing, I tried repositioning them and the same thing, I tried making a brand-new sheet and the same thing. I finally just gave up and told the person I could not do that sorry for the inconvenience. It drives me nuts plus I need a machine that cuts more than just 10 inches anyway. I think I would save me vinyl because I have to cut the oracal 631 rolls from 15 inches to 12 or 13 inches that's another big loss of vinyl. It would save me a bunch of time and money. I am very good with computers but this machine drive me nuts

Trouble cutting/weeding glitter heat transfer vinyl

I am also having the same problem with the SISER Glitter Heat Transfer Vinyl my blade just does not want to cut the stuff. I think it might be too dull. I order 1ft to try it out. Would the SISER VideoFlex Glitter Heat Transfer Vinyl be better the price difference looks a lot better.
  6. I got my first commercial job. My dad asked me to put a logo on on of his painters trucks. Both sides and the back. I need help turn the logo into a SVG file or a victor photo so I can use it with my scalp software. I will be using red and black vinyl. My dad has been using magnets from Vista print but they fade out fast and the shell the painter got for his truck is aluminum so the magnets will not stick and my dad needs something bigger than those small magnets to advertise his business. I am willing to pay if someone will help me turn the logo into a SVG file or a victor photo

I need help to turn a logo into Victor for my scalp

How much would you guys charge for a logo front and back on T-shirts the T-shirts cost me about $2.50 and my dad is going to be a repeat customer. Remember it is going to be two different colors red and black. Does anybody know where I can get siser easeyweed cheaper than it is on US cutters it looks kind of expensive to me. And 5 yards did not go very long. I messed up about the first four or 5 feet of the vinyl but I learned from my mistakes and will not messed up in the future.

I need help to turn a logo into Victor for my scalp

I made my first t-shirt for my dads painting company. The T-shirts are for his painters. I bought five medium, five large and five extra-large T-shirts from jiffy.com. I did not know this at the time but they are in Georgia not far from me and it only took one day to ship. I also got a couple nice shirts because I had to spent $50 to get free shipping. The siser easy weed was much easier to work with then oracal vinyl. I did have some trouble with the small letters for the front but I think it is okay. I also forgot to cut it in reverse the first couple times. But I think I might get the T-shirt business it was fun to do. I only bought the 12" x 9" heat press because I do not have very much money to spend I wish I bought the 15" x 15"

I think thick and thin are the same quality. I and most people I know prefer the thicker T-shirts thank you Jay for the guide I never knew what the oz meant. The possibilities are endless with the vinyl cutting machines that's what I like about them. I will post a picture when I make my first T-shirt good thing I have a US cutter warehouse in the next state I get most of my stuff into 2-3 days I can't wait till my heat press gets here.

I was looking at http://www.shirtchamp.com that was one of the first one that popped up when I Google search T-shirt wholesale $30 worth a T-shirts and they wanted to charge me $20 for s & h how do you expect me to make a profit with those prices I will look at www.jiffyshirts.com thank you I am always afraid to buy T-shirts online I have no idea if they are thick or thin

I brought my vinyl machine to make stencils for painting wooden signs like the one in the picture. I could never got them sold I have a bucket in the basement of about 50 different signs. I hate the clean up of paint and takes a long time sanding the wood down, waiting for the paint to dry, and having to put on two or three coats if the first coat is too thick you have to re-sanded it just drove me nuts sometimes. Plus spending all that money on good quality paint. Vinyl decals for cars and walls and millions of other applications is so much easier and faster and you can make more money at it.

My dad would like personalized T-shirts for his painters I have always wanted to try the heat transfer vinyls so today I bought some heat transfer vinyl and a heat press. He buys them from Vista print I think for $6 but he has to pay s & h His painters go through T-shirts very fast because they get paint on them so I am going to have a big repeat customer. I was looking online to buy T-shirts in bulk and the shipping was crazy. I found some cheep but thick White Fruit of the Loom T-shirts at target. I added up and the shirt and vinyl I use would be about $4 and I can sell them to my dad for $8 but I can personalize them with the painters name.

    I give up

I been up for two hours trying to figure out how to put this on a picture frame using five different colors of vinyl. I did the red park first. I forgot to hit it in reverse the first time the second time my machine decided to have a mind of its own. The third time I was able to weed the big letters and the small letters keep coming up with the vinyl. The forth try it happened again. After wasting about 5 feet of vinyl I give up. I'm not very experienced and just learning the ropes. How would you professionals go about doing this. The glass space in the picture frame is 9.5 x 7.5 and I am trying to get the words inside the picture frame not on top of the glass.

I know what you mean slice&dice I hate those small dots the always seam disappear on me. I will fix it. I know I should have made it a 1/4" smaller on each side I think it would have looked better. Duggy what does weld the letters mean.

    I give up

I give up on the multi color. I took out the cursive words and some of the other words to make the letters bigger. I got it done last week in all black letters and forgot to take a picture before I went out of town. this is the first time I put the letters on the inside and I reversed it so the sticky side will stick to glass and not the paper I use decorative light brown paper they have at Michael's. Let me know what you guys think

    I give up

After wasting more vinyl I conclude that I am just going to have to take out some of the words and it makes some of the letters bigger. I am also going to take out the cursive letters. Quarter inch letters just don't work for me.

    I give up

I wish I had the money to buy a bigger and nicer machine then my crappy mh. I have to flip the off switch every time I am cutting a new piece and I forget to do that 25% of the time. I have to watch it to make sure it's cutting right so I do not waste vinyl. It drives me nuts. and I cannot cut more than like 9 inches.

    Weeding Small Letters help?

What is the best way to weed small letters? I have always had trouble weeding small letters so I tend to try to avoid them if I can. No one ever taught me how to weed vinyl so I'm learning as I go. I was up late tonight and did my first stick figure family. I am practicing on a picture frame I bought at big lots. The 3rd or 4th try I finally got it right. I will post a picture tomorrow. I stuck the whole sheat of vinyl on the glass on the 3rd try and then we did the little pieces of vinyl off the glass. It took me about 45 minutes to a hour to weed all of it six people two dogs and names. I know there has to be a easier way to do it. Is tweezers the best tool to use or is there a better tool?
